This device is ideal for the Chinese market. In China they can pretty much do everything on mobile these days, and many people prefer them to laptops and desktop computers. With a 7" screen and 5400 mAh battery, this will be a very comfortable device.
I would like to see one of these with less power-hungry specs, entirely dedicated to adults who just need a mobile that works with long battery life, no games.

Sd 636 is a budget version of sd 660, while sd 450 is a budget version of 625.
Thats why most upcoming entry smartphone from xiaomi came with sd 625. Because the power is not much different to justify the sd 450.

No, it won't. 18:9 6.9 in IS NOT smaller than 16:9 6.4 in. Actually it is still bigger than 16:9 6.6 in (so screen area in Mi Max 3 is going to be bigger than say Honor Note 8 screen area). Use Pitagoras or check gsmarena datasheets to compare. Or use this calc (I hope I can post an external link. They don't seem to sell anything):

Screen is too small battery is too small ram is too small and i would like to have 3 CPU´s of SD845 for a superfast speed clocked at 3.0 or better.
Also more diskspace :-)

Please! Make a phone with size not more than 140x70mm with battery 5000mhA. Screen bezelless and pixels optimised to have longer battery life. Its ridiculous to charge phone two or more time per day (if you are out of office and want to browse on internet then you need long lasting battery) and phone developers! Not all people have problems with eyes and not all people have hands like Gulliver!

10-nm fabrication.Its coming out with SD 636 which is based on 14nm technology.Almost the the same chip set which powered the Mi Max 2..maybe a little notch higher in performance than sd625 .

Mi Max2 is almost same as Max1 interms of performance. but SD625 is power efficient (14 nm) where SD650 is not power efficient (28 nm). Mi max3 is far far better than Mi Max1 interms of performance and power efficient (10 nm).

i have max 1 prime, great phone.. skipped on max 2 due to low performance.. now i have to skip on max 3 too (so-so performance w/max 1 prime) why is this happening? please please at least give SDM 660..

Sd636 has very similar performance as sd650/652 that were in the first max, but more power efficient I'm sure.

Battery will be very nice @5500mAh. Thats where the max keeps it's meaning of "max".
So for you with very small hands. Congratulations. I will keep my max1 and wait for another phone. MIUI10 will be out in a month for the max1. Use miui.am rom for optimum battery and ram. Enjoy people.

well, sure its kind a dissapointment about SD 636, but if it will have camera quality minimum of Redmi note5, and competitive price, it`l be very interesting option to buy.

Huawei makes great stuff though. A bit heavy though.
I wish they could make an Honor Note 9 or 10, but with a 16:9 screen. The Note 8 is 6.6 inch, bit old and hardly bezelless.

I went from popular LineageOS 14.1 on my Mimax back to MIUI (specifically miui.am great ram+battery) and gained 35% more battery life. MIUI has an amazing built in app management that stock android can't rival.
China has some ridiculously nasty app practices so if a phone rom can handle China it will be good for the rest. LOL
