If any of Xiaomi people read these forums, I would advise them the following concerning the sequel of Mi Max 2:
1) please, pure Android! Like MiA1 and MiA2;
2) please, good camera! I don't want to take a camera or another camera phone with me.
3) please, NFC! Wireless payments are becoming more popular.
I like the idea of having one device instead of two - phone and tablet. But, if 2 and 3 will be missing, this phone will not be for me.

I will actually miss the NFC capability which is more than handy in my everyday use. I don't get why Chinese manufacturers always keep NFC out of party. I also hate anything narrower than the classic 16:9 ratio so this 18:9 behemoth will equalise that gap width wise in comparison with my smaller 16:9 6" phone.

Well mi max 2 have some lame thing like only white led notification, hybrid sim and average camera. If they put redmi note 5 pro camera and improve these little things it's become hit.
And don't put expensive gimmick like wireless charge or iris scanner nobody give a shit about these things in budget smartphones.
And don't me started with notch.

Redmi Note 5 Pro/China come with SD636 so probably Mi Max 3 chipset could be SD636 but there is an exception like the original Mi Max come with 2 model and 2 chipset, Mi Max with SD650 and Mi Max Prime SD652 but Mi Max 2 only come with 1 model with SD625. Some leaks says Mi Max.3 may come.with 2 chipset SD636 and SD660 and if this to be true may be Mi Max 3 could come with 2 model basicand prime model. The basic with SD636 and prime with SD660. For me I'll prefered SD636 than SD660 because the former have balance between raw performance and battery efficiencies than the latter more focus on performances and consume more battery. SD660 generates similar performance like SD821 and could also use similar battery power or little less. If we see GSMArena battery life test table all phone used SD660 shown are not so battery efficient.

What a nice phone. It won't likely be seen in the USA though. Grrr. Getting tired of the limited choices we have for the better phones. If this phone had 6gb of RAM I might move to China just to own it!

Xiaomi just announced Mi6X with SD660 inside, so MiMax 3 will definitely sport the same SoC.

AnonD-98417, 25 Apr 2018mi max 3 spec confirm run snapdragon 660.More to SD636 than SD660 because Mi Max and Mi Max 2 have similar chipset with Redmi Note series on the same year and believe this patent will continue with Mi Max 3 but there maybe a possiblities Mi Max 3 will come with 2 set of chipset SD636 and SD660 like original Mi Max in 2016, SD650 and SD652(Mi Max Prime). But personally I like SD636 more than SD660 because the former battery efficiency is superb than the latter but the latter have better raw power performance than the former. SD660 performance similar with SD821.

The previous 2 mi max's were announced in may and both were released in either may or june, so I'm assuming if Xiaomi releases it, they will follow that same trend.
