By your logic, Xiaomi phones should still only have 1 - 2gb of RAM, the reason they don't is that it is a lot cheaper. Same reason they don't use an insanely old SOC.

I am bit disappointed with Redmi Note 5 Pro announcement today: like old micro-USB port and no quick charging. So I will wait this Max 3 instead. It has really BIG LCD screen, BIG battery and good SD660 AP. Other features I like: modern USB Type-C connector and quick charging, Micro SD slot, Gorilla glass, metal back (no glass back). Modest single (not dual) camera ( 12M back + 5 M front are OK), FM Radio, 3.5 mm jack. Android 8.0 Oreo out of box. All goodies at very modest PRICE!
Note that not everyone is fan of dual camera. or 20M front camera. Especially for budget-mined XIAOMI fans. To improve camara, apply OIS instead of dual camera.

Now that I have been disappointed by Note 5 I am looking at the next opportunity.
Please Xiaomi, put a band 4 LTE modem on your phones !
What a phone needs is simple for me:
-big battery (like the Mi Max)
-dual sim + dedicated SD (although with 128GB it should be ok). This is almost impossible to find.
-EU LTE bands and NA LTE bands: 1 3 4 5 7 ...
-Oreo
So far it has been very hard to find. I am counting on you !

Dual rear cam pl... moreThe higher the pixel resolution the smaller the pixel pitch will be... the smaller the pixel pitch the worse the quality in low light. so, in other words, 5mp camera will have a better quality in low light than the 8mp assuming the cmos sensor and lens specs are the same

The new launch Xiaomi Redmi max 3 should have 8 mp front cam 16mp + 16mp Dual rear focusing camera . Screen Size,Ram n Rom Storage ,Processor s Quiet Cool....

They should make front cam to 8MP atleast. Dual rear cam please.! Make it cheaper lol I'm saving money.

From the specification, I have seen with the upcoming MI MAX 3, same same old story of 5MP front camera. I think Xiaomin should wake up and live up to the expectations of its teeming customers. Sad

Specification seems ok but front camera is always a problem. From the specification, i have seen with the upcoming MI MAX 3, same same old story of 5MP front camera. Sad

Xiaomi-phones with "global rom" have weak language-support. None of the Scandinavian languages are currently supported - not even Dutch or Belgian. Its pathetic.

Why without nfc feature's, I need it include 6" gadget with nfc..
But good enough for bokeh when we shoot image with fron or rear camera 1.7.
