It very well knows the Indian psychology of value for money. Plus this phone has no FM tuner, which is a best known argument that an Indian buyer has to not to buy - oh! So costly and no FM?
Plus most feel that more ram and more megapixel means better,which is not always true. Efficiency is more important.what makes you feel that 5mp selfie cam is not good?
Premium segment in India is dominated by Samsung ( that's what most neo rich class can understand ). Hence no point in launching a handset which will never be understood.
Mi5 is available in India on flipkart.
Mi mix is a premium offering by Xiaomi with unconventional design. It's not everyone s taste. Many call it as a copy of sharp phone,but they don't realise one fact that sharp could not make its design successful, but Xiaomi has been able to popularize it.

Use a case so it doesn't crack, and scratches are no problem anymore because of hardness of ceramic. Aluminum is fragile to both scuffs and scratches, ceramic and glass only to cracks.

Very Impressive phone. Do we also have smaller size in it ? Say 5" OR 5.2 " becuase 6.4 "is very big for me. Otherwise it is most suitable phone. Great Innovation !!

Guys please don't post ridiculous comments if you havent own or see the phone from close. Ceramic is an awesome scratch resistant material. I own this phone and it's amazing. It's really beautiful in hands, its super snappy, the battery is more than enough and the colours are really crispy. The only turn off its the mid range quality camera.

Why is Xiaomi losing focus on front cam and Indian markets, did not see MI5 here, neither this phablet, and with such huge specs, front cam is only 5 MP

Xiaomi, this phone is a copied phone as some people criticised but you did it better than the sharp company did and the phone looks so great, so beautiful. I hate people who copy things any how but love people more when they can copy things better way than the original or than the first hand. You have done so well. Do not let this model or design be your first and last at all. Please we need this same design in a 6' or 5'7 inches phone from you. That one add SD card slot up to 256 GB, and minimise the internal memory to 64 GB and 32 GB and bring the price to around $400 - $500 and see the customers you will have for this phone.

Excellent phone.
It would be perfect if it was water resistant and a little bit smaller (around 5.8 - 6"). I would even pay 150% of the price.

I have this phone in the UK and I can assure you it is excellent. The best phone I've ever seen bar none. Twice the RAM of iPhone 7, screen is amazing, very fast, all-day battery, and it looks beautiful.
