What's the word on Verizon over in the states? The first version of the phone was not compatible.

It has the snapdragon 835 vs the 821 of the original which was a battery hog. In addition it's now a 6" display versus 6.4" of the original. It has a bigger battery than the Note 8 which has a 6.3" screen. I bet it will last longer than any of them... and it has so many freaking global LTE bands that it will work no matter what country you are from. Awesome phone. Kudos to Xiaomi.

Quick question to the community of experts,
- what is the compatibility of this phone's GSM bands with the US provider T-Mobile?
Can anyone confirm that it's fully compatible, and there will be no nasty surprises - if I buy this phone, then try to use Skype for example, or use the phone as wi-fi hotspot and find it's only 2G or 3G because some frequencies or standards are misaligned between chinese made phone and US standards.
Thanks, would appreciate any expertise.

Make notes for big screen, but normal phones with smaller, so you can actually use in with one hand without going to gym...

I would never ever use another Phone than MI MIX.
This week I will buy MIX 2 while I will be in Beijing..
I have been XIAOMI Website Moderator for a long time. ( almost 2 years).Most of what this guys who have problems are writing is because as it is always,, the user needs to know the product he buys and not the Product must be in favor for one User only.
What all the fuss with waterproof??? Don't drop in into the toilet and there is no need for. About broken display screens it can be bought for US$ 100 From Shenzhen. Takes 15 minutes to change.. The Mix2 will have OIS 4 axle, its an advantage over MI MIX. The Battery is smaller because the phone itself is slightly smaller, it degrades by only 100 MA.
That's nothing.. The phone will last for two days in normal use, a shitty Iphone Battery needs to be recharged after 8 - 12 hours and you are paying more than double of the price. Go for it you will not regret it.
