It's all about licensing.
The majority of their devices aren't licensed to run on LTE B20 and thus are restricted by firmware.

Xiaomi should definitely release a global version (not just global rom) that has band 20 (800MHz) support. It's the only band used in common by every UK 4G network provider. I'm sure there's a big market in the UK for large bezel-less phones like this, so long as they support this band.

Would be very interested if it has bands for UK including 20 for 4g on sale in UK.
Some of us do want powerful big screen phones with high screen to body ratio that fits in a normal pocket.
Apple said they would never do big phones and now they do a 6" and people love it.
I love my oneplus3 but really want big screen like 6.5". I miss my note 3 but prices are getting silly.

Has xiaomi ever thought about making a waterproof smartphones? What's the point of having a bezel less flagship smartphone if it has not Ingress Protection Rating at all? Everyone should go for waterproof smartphones at this day and age.

What a pity! Mi Mix2 no ROM256GB with 8GB RAM.....same as Mi Mix ROM256GB with 6GB RAM... hopefully Mi 6s Plus 5.7" ROM256GB with 8GB RAM in 2017
