Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha to have waterfall display, screen to body ratio over 100%
Ahead of Xiaomi’s big event on September 24, the company revealed more details about the upcoming Mi Mix Alpha. This will, in fact, be the successor to the Mi Mix 3 and will offer a radically different design compared to its predecessor. Several teaser posters were published on the company’s Weibo profile giving small hints at what we can expect at next week’s event.
The first poster details the naming for the phone as well as the ambition to continue innovating under the Mix line. The most interesting of the bunch shows us a side peek of the display on the Mix Alpha next to some books covers. This means the phone’s display will sport a very pronounced curve on the sides similar to that of the waterfall screen on the vivo NEX 3. The last teaser hints that the Mix Alpha will bring the highest screen to body ratio in Xiaomi’s lineup.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha name and display teasers
With four days left until the event we’ll likely see more teasers which will give us a clearer picture of what to come from the Mix Alpha.

Missing a 1 in front of that 87. Phone's got the world's only 180% screen to body. No wonder people calling it typhoon display!

Nope, straight up wrong, the screen-to-body ratio is ~87%. Someone doesn't understand how %'s work... or reality.
