Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha to have waterfall display, screen to body ratio over 100%

      Nope, straight up wrong, the screen-to-body ratio is ~87%. Someone doesn't understand how %'s work... or reality.

                  Sadly none would do it, or maybe some weird company does it (Japan only Sharp?) all the while "forgetting" to fix "all screen" problems (I.e. palm rejectio, ability to protect it, etc).

                    If it has a top and bottom bezel, it's not 100%, let alone above 100. If it were, then we could just stick a screen on the back of the phone and count that as adding to the screen to body ratio.

                      I honestly don't give a crap about the display technology this phone will use, I'm only waiting for this because of its camera sensor.

                        Bring it on!
                        For all the curved screen haters lately, you can continue using your fat bezel phones. I'm for innovation and moving forward.

                          This phone might just be one-sided "water-fall", if so then the top and bottom should be symmetrical just so to accommodate right and left-handed users. I hope this would be more stable than the much more "apha-state" fold devices.

                                      Doesn't matter if they make the phone too large to hold in one hand. They can make the screen to body ratio 200%, but if they keep making the device bigger (instead of smaller), there's just no point.

                                        And you'd have to recount all other phones ratio data in specs, since their frame isn't included LOL. (they'd be lower) It can't be judged/measured two ways when marketing needs it. Right, a nonsense. I wonder what'll be in specs here.

                                        Thinking more of all this, even if this curved part of screen was somehow software touch-switchable (and actually IDK), if it can't be touched neither seen well maybe it's better to be avoided. For now I can't imagine this works good, will see more information about it though.
