Whackcar, 20 Sep 2019This is the same marketing crap that Vivo did. They're taki... moreExactly.
In theory, a screen to body ratio of 110% or even 99% sounds enticing.
In practice, those suck and people are better served with the ergonomics of a 85% to 90% screen to body instead (symmetrical, no notch, extra sensors, flat no distortions, glass protectors, more durable, easier to repair, and ofcourse: front-firing stereo loudspeakers).

Something many companies seem to get wrong: a higher "scree-to-body ratio" does not make a phone better.
Especially not if it is this high.
From what I have experienced, it makes it worse!

Pabliell, 20 Sep 2019How in the world can you go over 100% screen to body ratio?... moreHave you ever head of something exceeding design capacity? eg 110%
Have you ever worked more than your standard hours i.e. overtime, which is greater than 100% of your standard hours.
Another example in a similar way is steam and superheated steam. Water boils at 100 deg C and turns into steam but what about superheated steam? More than the 100% of the boiling temperature of water! Correct or not?
Yes I agree somethings can't go more than 100% but when when they are counting the edge part of the screen as screen but the body i.e. bezels are zero or very thin then it's possible.
Do YOU know how maths works?

Curved screen, hard to find a good case. The design of MiMix seems to be the leakless device ever. They know how to keep a secret

I love how Xiaomi didn't have leaks for the Mi Mix Alpha (4) for the physical looks for the past months. I remembered last year that their own CEO leaked Mi Mix 3 and no one had an idea. They really keep things unleaked.
Unlike some brands. Which is cool.

Pabliell, 20 Sep 2019How in the world can you go over 100% screen to body ratio?... moreScreen to body ratio only calculated on front face of the phone. This phone display curved on right/left side and maybe on top/bottom side. So that's why screen to body ratio over 100%.

This is the same marketing crap that Vivo did. They're taking the curved sides into account when counting the StB ratio which gives them the ridiculous numbers. In reality, only the front of the device is meant to be measured.
Don't get me wrong. The StB ratio of these phones are very high indeed, but they unnecessarily want to post higher numbers than the actual one just for marketing purposes.

Pabliell, 20 Sep 2019How in the world can you go over 100% screen to body ratio?... moreIt's just marketing gimmick language. They should called Mi X series instead of that gimmick word.. Not Mi MIX series. Mi MIX sounds "mimic" which heard weird. It should be Mi X, Mi X2, Mi X2s, Mi X3, Mi X Alpha.
