Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha to have waterfall display, screen to body ratio over 100%

As wrote earlier, my information says Xiaomi denied this is foldable one.
Screen ratio over 100% would be correct if there was more than whole front space available for use which means actually foldable phone or so. This is not. However makers may include frame as visible screen (even though that space is not specifically front and quite useless) when there's an opportunity to advertise this and it's hard to expect they won't. It's best to not pay attention to these. (generally understood in comments here but some funny mathematics in addition :) )
I assume curved screen space is actually just visible space not true touchscreen.
Some leaks or information may yet appear before it's out.

    I think this mi mix alpha is folded phone.. This crazy curve screen replacing the both side bezels..

        You have to be able to turn those side screen off right? I mean if you strech the UI to that extreme you can not even see the icon from the front. Also, Extreme side curves are stupid and useless.

          'screen to body ratio over 100%' - why repeat this nonsense? I can see frame/end cap in the publicity shot. Screen you can't actually see because it's perpendicular to you or wrapped under the side doesn't count; if it did, you would logically also have to include the back of the device which is significantly more than '0%' of the surface.

            Y'all talked bad things about Ice Universe when he said the next thing was this......

              Drop it it's dead
              Hold it your gonna interfere with your hands impractical
              Cases wont fit
              Screen protectors
              Deformed looking screens
              Expensive to fix


              Only good it looks like a full screen that 1 in 100000 would actually prefer

                  Xiaomi said not foldable. Waterfall screen highly likely and this screen ratio percentage must be including frame (on the left and right) which is no surprise.

                            I thought I will switch to it, but not it seems, that it will not only have big ass screen, maybe ven larger then 6.4, but also some bullshit incompatible tech, and also more fragile build. Oh well

                              welp, guess 2020 is the year of impractical unergonomic gimmicks for phone makers. another year to skip upgrading.

                                Thank God, it's not 200% or instead of catching the phone will it have feature like Always on Float. 😂😂😂

                                      Percent is the computation of "part of a whole". What kind of mathematical system do they use at xiaomi?

                                        Maybe it will be a compact wearable with ability to generate 42' floating, corporeal, touch sensitive hologram panel?
