I have noth phone Mi Note 10 and Huawei P30 Pro, in camera absolutely mi note 10 beat huawei, + google camera work very well on mi note 10, and you can shot night sight, astrography mode, has better batery life, has better AOD, new light notification, double tap to wake, fingerprint is very fast, charging from 0 to 100 maximum 70mins, better video recording and stabilization, support without any problem with GOOLGE, selfie camera with google camera work like a charm, face are incredibly color and sharpness, flashlight are brighter, only thing hass missed on xioami is you cant change display resolution, for me Mi mote 10 is overall is better than huawei p30 pro.Mi note 10 Is newer phone and will receive update more thane huawei p30 pro, is my opinion
No 1 in camera vs flagship
No1 in price vs flagship
Top5 in batery vs flagship
Top5 in display bs flagship
No3 in update vs flagship

Anonymous, 02 Jan 2020Its because as mentioned on several sites online, that is n... morei beg to differ,
periscope in this case allows to adjust the sharpness of the image,
in case of the P30Pro you get high end lens + prism that allow better quality of the image,
in case of xiaomi the distance between the lens and the sensor is fixed, or at least can not be changed by more than 1mm or so, thus the mages will look not so sharp;
in other words, in the P30Pro the lens can be in same position(maybe) as in the xiaomi,
same distance from the sensor can be achieved in both of the phones and both images will be sharp, but the distance from the phones to the object will be different...(bcoz they got different lenses), well it's logical if you have a moving lens, that there is a position where in both cases will have similar distance from the sensor...at which point there will be no difference between those two...
the other story is that xiaomi with fixed lens will have a range where the object has to be in order to achieve perfect picture, perfect sharpness;
it's like having a binocular that is broken and you can't adjust sharpness, but by getting closer or further from the object you can actually make it look sharper = xiaomi, altho part of that does the software?;
human eye is just like the periscope, doesn't matter if the object is close or far, the lens will change focal length to make it look sharp;
i'm yet to test what distance that is, which is best for the 5x lens on the xiaomi

YUKI93, 21 Dec 2019That 12MP telephoto camera is perfectly understandable sinc... moreIts because as mentioned on several sites online, that is not an optical 5X zoom. Eventhough Xiaomi falsely claims this, and even writes it on the back of the phone..
A 5X optical requires a periscope lens construction, like on the Huawei P30 pro..
Its in fact a 3,7 x zoom that they then crop from. .

SaMi, 27 Dec 2019Hi to everyone, can someone tell in what resolution MI note... more....knowing the MP, you can calculate on your own, maybe there is an online calculator for this;
anyway, 108 000 000pixels @ 4:3 aspect ratio = 4a * 3a = 108 000 000
4a * 3a* = 12a² = 108 000 000 ; a²=108 000 000/12 = 9000 000 ; a=3000
now you know that 4:3 @ 108MP is 12000pix x 9000pix, obviously 16:9 is nothing but 4:3 that has been cropped, means 12000 remains unchanged, and in this case you already have the '16' value 16a = 12000, which means the 9a =6750;
so 16:9 cropped from 4:3 will be 12000x6750
you can do that for any camera as long you know either the resolution or the amount of pixels.
Needless to mention you do not want to use any other camera on this phone, bcoz it's pointless and the other ones are useless.

Sam, 29 Dec 2019Many claim that a time delay(file saving lag) of 05-15Sec, ... moreit's more like 3~5 sec, depends on the file size of the processed pic(?), this got updated...kinda, but still have to wait few sec before taking another pic @108MP , except now there is no indication if the pic has been already saved or processed for that matter.
It is however not a claim, it is the reality.

Many claim that a time delay(file saving lag) of 05-15Sec, between two consecutive photo capture(click) @ 108MP mode. Anyone who owns Mi Note 10 have experienced this? Appreciate more details on this. Thanks.

Can anyone who owns this phone tell me if the Always on Display work reliably for third party app notifications like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, FB Messenger, missed calls, SMSes, Telegram etc - once these apps are whitelisted in Settings to escape Xiaomi's aggressive power management?

That 12MP telephoto camera is perfectly understandable since it offers 2x optical zoom at 50mm focal length, but what's the point of the other 5MP telephoto camera that upscales it to 8MP resolution? Also, I don't see any focal length value despite saying it provides 5x optical zoom.
Honestly, I rather take vivo's X30 Pro instead of this. That has two telephoto camera with two different focal length value, and that makes much more sense.

Xiao, 14 Dec 2019My XiaoNote10 heats pretty fast. I was trying the camera, t... morehmm, phone gets warm but not any close to hot, yours may be broken,
but i got that with huawei too while gaming,
about laggy video = settings-> image stabilization, disable it
slow motion video = any phone needs tons of light for that, even Mate30pro - that is why one of the promo videos they show a slow mo of a burning matches = bcoz they give out a lot of light
also, Mi Note 10 at 108MP beats Mate30pro only in photos with good light, other than that Mate30pro wins in any category, costs however 300Eur more and has no volume buttons + that crappy waterfall screen, a no go for me, in fact Mi Note 10's screen is bad too, curved screens should go, i like them flat.

My XiaoNote10 heats pretty fast. I was trying the camera, took some shots...the images were excellent but man! It was really really hot. Video is also not really good. It's laggy. Not to mention the slowmo feature. The quality is poor. Dont be fooled by the camera selling point people. If younhave Huwawei p30, p30 pro, mate 30/pro... Stick to it for now. Xiaomi has excellent images to offer for standard shots but other than that, it has a lot to improve. Great, but not quite.
