If I were to use a Chinese smartphone, theb it'd better be huawei or xiaomi, not oppo. There have been lots of complaints about opppo smartphones in my country already

The best part of Mi pad is its screen and processor but that's it. I have oneplus one as my daily driver,wanted a big screen and power of tegra k1. In terms of functionality, this Mi pad can't even hold a candle to the oneplus one. And please release those kernel source,many talented devs are waiting to develop a good lollipop rom for this. Hey people at Xiaomi,please give some respect for ur customers who value your products and buy them.

Will the source kernel be ever released for this tablet,because in its current state its absolutely horrible experience. Even with no app installed,out of the box free ram is a measely 500~600mb. And apps reload like hell. What is the use of 2gb ram then? Xiaomi are violating the rules by not releasing the kernel source

M very much frustrated with mi pad,it automatically switches off ,sometimes utube video keep going with audio but video is not there.even vashi service centre is not helping satisfactorily. Plz help

I have problem using with "My Tom". Close the application automatic when I using scrub for wash tom. Second "talking tom jetski" not open. I want to know this problem is my device or all systems. Please suggest What can I do ? my umi 7 up to date.

Full of pop out advertisements. Every time use half way, the advertisement pop out and it close off button change from one corner to another. Very frustrated using it. Feel like throwing away.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2015will this tab is best for games and educational purpose ? if u want it for gammimg it is best low cost tab but for educational purpose u might need conectivity and with out connectivity it is surely not good for edu.

I Installed or update just to 7.1 then also still on KitKat so minimum chances for upgrade.

Great potential although not newb-friendly. Needs an inordinate amount of tech know-how in order to experience NORMAL operation. Stick to your trusty samsung tabs and ipads if you're not into tinkering folks. If you go wrong with the software you alone will take heat(pun intended) for bricking your device thus voiding warranty. Products are supposed to come stress-free right off the bat and not to be under continuous research and development through consumers...

the piece of hardware inside the mi pad is nothing short of monstrous but the culprit here is the software which is not optimized for the hardware of such caliber. i am not into the heating club because such powerful hardware will heat up with graphic intensive tasks. problem is ram management which is pathetic. you run any music app in background and then browse on chrome, after 5 minutes music will stop because the system thrives for some free RAM and then you press home button and you see the launcher getting redrawn again, then you switch back to chrome and see chrome loading websites from scratch. the way ram management is done it seems like the device has only 512mb ram. and you will never figure out who eats that much ram even when the tablet is lying idle for few hours. the whole miui software is a beta or alpha version of a final product(however miui in my mi4 is great). wish there was some stock android goodness to the mi pad.
