1. First, I transferred a file from MiPad to Redmi Note using ShareIt
2. After above was successful, when I tried to transfer few files from Redmi Note to MiPad in ShareIt, it completed instantly.

I am a heavy user of tablet and use it mostly for ... moreHello vj. i think 4:3 ratio is not bad at all. i think its better than other 8 inch tablet for overall usage but the thing here is that u want only or mostly for youtube vedios and movies.
For movies i can say this ratio is not at all the problem because u can use mx player and choose any ration and size to watch your movies and really movie experience on this tab is really good, specially full hd movies. so i think u will face no problem in watching movies and for comparing it to my another 8 inch tab which is lenovo yoga 2 tablet which is double the price of mi pad. yoga tab performance in full hd movies was somehow sluggish, i think due to intel chipset in it so i dont like the experience on my yoga tab although the spekaer performance was better than mi pad but in ear or headphones volume was too low on my yoga 8 inch tab so i can easily say that mi pad is very good for watching movies for the price you pay for this tab.
now about youtube, As i dont watch youtube a lot on my tab but i have tested it and i found few things. first you cant watch any vedio in full screen on the tab whatever quality you choose on youtube for that vedio but its not bad at all as some user dont want the full screen just for youtube vedios. so yes there will be black borders on upper and lower part of the vedio but it will not spoil the viewing experience according to my taste.
another thing which is minor issue that you cant choose 480p for your vedio on youtube atleast i cant on my mi pad. so either u have to choose 360p or 720p for the vedios because their is no option of choosing 480p quality but i think its not a problem if you have high speed internet and you can choose 720p as always.

Hi all,
I am a heavy user of tablet and use it mostly for watching youtube videos and Movies. Hardly use for browsing and reading. Thus, I have a concern being a 4:3 aspect ratio tablet , is Video viewing experience subpar as compared to other devices or else there is any workaround on the same in Mi Pad..
Comparing general android 8 inch tablet vs Mi pad for Video viewing experience.
Guidance on the same will be appreciated

Dolin, 04 Nov 2015Is it possible to play NBA 2016 in this xiaomi pad???? yes u can play any game on mi pad. But here is the problem i have faced during some games. i installed unkilled and graphics were awsome but in the game sometimes during the play game closes itself saying "Unfortunately stopped working". so some minor issues but other than that most of games are running fine. may be dual os will solve the problem like i am thinking to install CM11 along with miui. i think in CM11 i qill get more free ram and mostly good experience with every game

Punith, 01 Nov 2015what is the android version if it?android version is 4.4.4 kitkat. although the new update MIUI 7 is showing on my mi pad but i am not updating it anyrime soon as many users are complaining about low battery backup and i dont think i need to update to MIUI7 as its also based on kitkat not lolipop and everything is jyst working fine and i dont want to mess around with it .

its very hard to say true battery backup for example i have charged my tablet in one day or you can say from morning to midnight i need to charge my tab once but on the other hand when i was outside from home and i used my tab barely for 2 hours a day and i charged my tab around 4 days after means it can go upto fpur days for very minimal use or may be just 12 hours of usage and you need to charge it like i was playing games yesterday and using wifi on 75% brightness and nearly 2 hours of gaming and battery dropped 25 percent so its normal.
so its very hard to say on battery backup it just depend on many things like background app, screen on time , brightness level, intense gaming and many other factors but overall battery backup is satisfactory .

ooh yess just one thing i bought it from flipkart in 10k INR blue version not from amazon. so i guess every mi pad has same display. so dont worry and enjoy your pad as i am using mine specially gaming is too good. And onee thing guyzz if everyone wondering for a case which look awsome and do the job just buy QinD case- royal blue colour from proelite accessories or anywhere you find it. it will cost 800INR. i know all of you will think its very costly bcoz i was thinking the same but ordered it and to my surprise its reaaly reaaly good in this price as you all know all the accesseries for mi pad is costly because of low availabilty so ill suggest you all to buy this case only in royal blue color. you'll aal love it and its the best case right now for the mi pad

I received mi pad yesterday from Amazon. Dis... morehello Hari. i read lot of people are complaining about the display. I think its vary from person to person. yes i have bought mine from amzon few days ago. i felt the same thing as everyone is saying. some says that no xiaomi is using differnt display manufacture so it may be or may be not the case as i have seen a review of my pad which was 1 year back and in the review i didnt saw the mi pad display as whitishh as people are complaining that it was better at start and worst now.
now to clarify things properly as my experience and prospective i can clarify few things. first of all the display is not at all low quality or faulty as everyone is thinking. because i have used lenovo yoga @ 8 inch tablet and i can asuure you that the whites on the yoga tablet was very good. i mean i have just compared the display with the yoga 2 tablet with my mi pad and i find these things
1.yoga 2 8inch tablet display was brighter and more whitish as compared to our mi pad. so i think the whites everyone wants from the mi pad is in the lenovo tab hust exact white and bright for everyone liking.
2. but now the main thing yoga tablet was brighter in settiings part where it seems more white and brighter in full brightness and even in half brightness but when i started comparing the high quality wallpapers in both the tab now here the things changes dramatically. the mi pad showing good colours overall and the overall i was feeling to look more on my mi pad more than yoga tab. I agree that mi pad has better resolution and more ppi than yoga tab still mi pad is more cheap and providing overall better resolution and ppi.
so you can understand yourself only the whiteness and more brightness is not only the most important thing.
3. now i played full hd movie on both the tab same time. here as always in brightness and whiteness the yoga tab was ahead but again the lag free and super smooth experience and overall better colours was in my mi pad.
4. now finally gaming i have played modern combat 4. gta san andreas, and asphalt 8 and i can assure you the colours and effects of this tab is better than any tab unser 20 thousand rupees.
now to clarify you more about display one thing i need to share that i have redmi prime 2 which i have bought 1 month ago. at that time display was more whitish and slightly brighter in display settings. as i dont remember the exact miui version. but when i updated redmi 2 prime to another miui update then to my surprise battery life slightly improved but the display became yellowish somehow and after changing to different settings standard to vivid but nothing helps. at start it seems its a fault but as i said it was more whtish before the update so i just want to point out one thing by all that everyone is keep saying that display is faulty and may be differnt manufacture but i have understand one thing that the display is as it is meant to be on the mi pad and clearly better than any other android tablet in the price range. may be some pppl will differ from my opinion but guyz you really need another tablet like i have yoga 2 tablet to understand the things clearly.
I agree with the fact the during browsing the white sheet or during reading some ppl may feel a bit yellowish or feel it as faulty because they are not used to it but its not a fault i guess i have clarify above. you can do one thing just use your tablet in full brightness for few days for everything like browsing gaming movies. then reduce brightness to half after few days so it may help you all to be used to it but i can say only thing from my experience that this display is very good. slightly yellow-yess but fauty not at all.
i hope i have helped you. ohh and i forgot to tell i have HTC one E8 which has very good white and bright display or i can say exactly the whites which one everyone will want or i should choose :p but even i love my mi pad because i know exactly what i got and what i paid. so worth it and can used to sightly yellowish display in settings other than that everything like gaming, movie and overall usage is just perfect for price
