After using it f... moreHello. i am using this tab for around 20 days . mostly i use my tab for gaming and i have never faced any issue like you said system stopped working. althouh i have not used thied party launchers because i know very well that mi pad has only 2gb ram and at a time only 600mb or so will remain so i always use stock miui and its doing fine. but i dont understand if you were facing problems first thing u should try to update your mi pad to the latest miui 7 because if system ui is not responding then it may be the software which was causing but as u also said that service centre replacing the board so its hardware problem. so it is your bad luck that u got a faulty device. lets see how my device will respond after few months but right now its working perfectly fine and i am doing really heavy gaming on my pad but no overheating or any other problem

I think if they are making a 2nd modle I'd like for it to have the ability to swap windows and Android ios and 3g and 4g compatatable to make calls

Got my MiPad around 3rd week of September. After using it for the first three days,it started stopping two particular apps which were browser and process. Swapped Chrome for Stock Browser since it will only load a very limited number of webpages(no wikipedia!?no youtube!?). After barely a week, experienced having the message "Unfortunately, System Launcher has STOPPED." Pressed the OK button but the message kept popping up everytime. After doing a hard reset by simultaneously pushing the volume up and power keys(did a research on my mom's slow as mollasses but trusty tablet),tab booted to the original rom and upon initial startup,I declined downloading the latest "stable" version of MiUI. Experienced minimal stopping but to be sure,I downloaded one of the generally recommended laucher from PlayStore which was Nova. MiPad experience was very exhilirating as with its crisp display. Gaming was joy. Handled every conceivable "heavy" game I could play(had Asphalt 8,Nova 3 and Real Racing as ranking the heaviest among other games like COC). Sadly,one afternoon while playing,tablet suddenly blacked out. Black screen but capacitive keys ON.Occasionally experienced it a few days before that but very minimal.My default solution back then was to reset the pad by long pressing on the power key but that day the problem was persistent until on my third reset the pad completely shut down. Not even doing a hard reset got it back on. Took it to the service center for warranty after just more than a month(Unit replacement was only good for 7 days upon purchase so had to settle for Service warranty. Tech diagnosed it with possible Mainboard replacement. Although the technician guaranteed it was FREE OF CHARGE for up to 1 year I cannot help but feel disappointed. What if this happened on a frequent basis? What if the tab bricks beyod the warranty after that? What could have gone wrong? Was it because all the downloaded apps were in 16Gb internal storage(Had 4Gb left last time I checked. Can't transfer files to 32Gb sdcard). Still waiting for the tab for more than a week now since Service center told me they were expecting parts to be shipped by around 2nd week of November. Tomorrow will be the first day of the 3rd week. Maybe I should cut them some slack... Still very disheartening.

Mike, 11 Nov 2015 i just bought my new mipad. when i tried to use skype or a... morehello mike. i have used google hangouts vedio calling on my mi pad. mic and front cam both are working properly although sometime i feel like my screen flickered a little bit during call. apart from that everything is fine. i dont understand why your mi pad is not working properly in vedio calling

without cellular connectivity, think majority of user will stay back.. bcos on the go connectivity is not there..

Back side it will heat corner of back camera but it provide good touch screen and one thing is not mention in gsmarena site this pad also have wire fee radio.
But its battery is 6525mh.
