My friend has this tab. This tab heat too much which affects gaming. But you are also getting tegra K1 which is one of the best chip set in market.

Bought this device and overall performance is great. I recommend this tablet for new users who doesn't need any personalisation in the device.
Pros:
Crisp display
Best indoor brightness
Gaming is Excellent
Battery is great
The best camera so far in tablet world
Speaker is clear and loud
Up to 1.2 GB free ram
Browsing is a breeze
Easy to use/ adjust with UI
Easy to handle
And so much more
Cons:
MIUI has a long way to go
Plastic build (cause its cheaper from others)
Normally heats up with moderate use (forgivable, you can have case for this)
Usually heats up in the near camera part
Capacitive keys and speakers is at bad position at landscape
Fewer apps ( cause most apps are optimised for phones/ phablets)
Unusual Stutters in some part of games (performance mode kinda fix this)
There is a snap feeling in some edges (case is not perfectly fit)
I just want to tell you that this tablet is the best so far IMO. The flaws given has a work around/ solution to solve it but the landscape handling. But mi pad need to work on browsing like iOS tabs does. Would rate it overall 9/10!
Just gonna update you guys or help you out if there is more info.

The default launcher has that long loading time problem. I am using next launcher and it loads up the home screen in a jiffy.

Mipad consume soo much ram.all the time on pressing back button shows loading launcher .

For 3g via dongle, i guess u have to root your mi pad.

Well u should at least get 7/8 hours of moderate usage on one full charge. That means 1/2 hours intense gaming + internet on wifi for 3/4 hours + audio listening for 2 hours + video watching for 2 hours.

I had about 40% charge left when I got mine. Anyway is your mipad getting charged and lasting appropriately according to usage ? If so nothing to worry about.

Whether the mi pad is fully discharged when unboxed ? Today i got my mi pad delivered. But it didn't get started. When i plugged it to charge i knew that the battery is fully discharged. So i suspect whether it has any fault. Because as far as my knowledge any device initially when unboxed has some amount of charged battery. Advise if someone has any idea.
