volume key of mipad doesn't work after i use this device for a day...I need to switch off the device and again it works for a day and then again i get the same issue. The volume becomes loud and uncontrollable via the volume buttoms.I thought it was due to earphone but this issue is still there when I disconnect the earphone. I have only used this device for less than a month and its irritating me. can anyone suggest me a solution?

I have bought a mipad a week ago and am completely unhappy with it.
there is a sickening yellow hue to the screen colour.It is not at all white.I already have a galaxy tab, so I do know.
Is there anyway to make the screen white.
mi ui is sick again, it is very heavy and consumes more than 1.5 gb ram, so the advertised 2gb ram is a joke.Is there anyway to change the ui to a vanilla stock android like nexus?
I do not want to return and get a refund because my mipad is already a replaced second unit, the first one delivered did not work at all.Very poor quality check control.
I will never buy a Chinese gadget ever again.

I bought this recently after reading about the good specs at a bargain price. Big mistake! I feel cheated by all the hype.
The UI is not intuitive.
The keypad disappears whenever you want to type something. This makes the whole tablet worthless!
The camera is a big joke. F2.0 aperture but the pictures are super grainy. Worse than blackberry cameras. The screen cannot be seen outdoors even when set at maximum brightness.
I have an old Samsung Tab 7 2.0. Only 770MB of RAM. I am still using this instead of the MiPad. Why? I can't type properly with the vanishing keyboard on the MiPad.
Lesson learnt. No such thing as cheap and good specs. Impressive specs on paper does not translate to real positive experience.
Please consider the Nokia N1 and Samsung Tab S. I dont think they are as bad as this.

Guys i am planning to buy but i am confused among Yoga2 and MiTAB...MITAb issues :- Heating, lagging Ui,No gps, No external speakers, some play store apps, service
Yoga 2 :- Restarting issue, battery Backup, screen flikers, lagging
These are my investigation...so plz suggest really these are problems..and which tab u will suggest...

Bought from Flipkart, India. I've checked in all showrooms but non were selling MI gadgets. So I got the chance to see and feel other option tablets under the same price tag (INR 12,000). Dell's Venue 8 is the closest but it lagged to even open a browser. Other brands had very bad display quality (Micromax, Lenovo, Samsung, HCL, Acer & Asus). The best one available in showroom among all was the Lenovo Yoga 2 costing INR 5,000 more which had front facing speakers and built-in stand.
GO FOR IT!!
Display:- Sharpest! equal to 40K range tablet.
Camera:- Not that great but better than Samsung and others I didn't see any other tab having good camera quality so far (including iPad).
Heating:- Almost all the tabs were having heating issues when played games. Even 10" iPad heats up when played games. Your computer graphics card has head sink and fan to cool it down, your phone and tabs don't come with that. If you do not want to feel the heat, put a case cover.

i bought mi pad7.9 its good but i found some problems scrolling timeline in facebook app is not ultra smooth just it is smooth and when we play a game and closed it it takes some time like loading launcher just 2 seconds the tab is exellent for gaming and i hope that miui will repair soon by giving an update.finally for gaming the pad is exellent i bought the pad for gaming soo i am satisfied.

Why my Mi pad getting slow. It response very slow when I happen to close the Facebook or WhatsApp .it takes more time to close the page and to reach the home page. Can you reply?

Have been using mi pad for about a week and its great. really good value for money. the cpu/gpu and screen combination is alone enough to justify the price. great tablet.
