Around the first year, many units will have charging problems due to poor quality control /design defect. I'm glad the charging problem on my unit was fixed. So far it hasn't recurred; it probably has been corrected permanently (fingers crossed).
Apart from the charging, this phone has lots of software issues / critical bugs that leave a bad taste in the mouth given it's not exactly cheap. It used to be a great Android phone when it was launched with the original Android 10 software. Now its Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 software is just a horrible mess with lots of bugs and issues and there's no solution in sight other than to move over to another brand.
The only reason I'm keeping this phone is because it has a PERFECT, UNBLEMISHED, HOLE FREE ALL SCREEN display that you can't find in the most recent phones. Aside from that, it's also got an IR blaster/Master remote which is a rarity, an FM radio and headphone jack, another rarity these days. Plus it's just too expensive to throw away when it can still call and text and can take good REAR camera photos and videos. The pop up selfie camera however is poor/mediocre but I don't care because I'm not into selfies and I know it's the price I have to pay for an all screen display with no selfie camera holes or notches whatsoever.

I've had the phone for a year and it was great until its charging pin broke twice so I had it repaired but after it was repaired for the second time the display turned off when i charged it at home, the shop says its now unrepairable. It has great specs and is quite alluring but it isn't built to last I'm a working student so the money I wasted on this makes me feel so disaapointed

All Android 11 based MIUI updates (including MIUI 12.5.2) have serious bugs rendering the phone unable to use full screen display/gesture based navigation for Nova launcher and other custom launchers and makes the phone's 5G network unusable. Also please be warned Xiaomi has a habit of intentionally slowing down charging or rapidly draining the battery in software updates of Xiaomi phones starting on the second year or third year so you'll be forced to upgrade to a newer one.

I'm still on MIUI 11 Global stable Android 10, I don't have any problems with Poco, the battery lasts fantastically and charges in approx. 75 min with original charger. With OTA update I am offered MIUI 12.04. whether to download the upgrade or not, and I see that some also get MIUI 12.5.
