Have had a few months, overall I'd say it's pretty impressive, great screen, best battery life I've known, reliable, snappy and intuitive; if you've ever used a smartphone before nothing about this device will throw you off and the 'ads' hysteria we hear so much of amounts to 1 that I've only seen in the built-in security scanner that is easily disabled by the flick of a slider.
Pros:
-Great screen, everything looks really nice & sharp, colours are natural and picture quality easily comparable to Samsung's, in fact as pretty much entire front is display and without any annoying curves or camera dots this device seems impressively designed and very immersive.
-Very fast, apps, camera etc, all behave remarkably quickly and without hesitation.
-Battery life, lasts usually for 2/3 and sometimes 4 days on my usage.
-OS generally quite pleasant, colourful, great dark mode, lots of options for customization and has some genuinely useful additions and apps, for example Second Space and I'm a fan of the 'Control Panel' style sliding from different areas of top as allows you to toggle settings without reading message previews or just see notifications without seeing settings toggles, really simple and smart (think Huawei used to have this but removed if recall).
-As for bundled apps, coming from Samsung this is fine to me, you also there find duplicated Gallery, Browser, App Store, 'Tips'(?!), Facebook, Instagram (that cannot be uninstalled!!!) etc and in regards to dreaded ads I only saw a couple on the 'security check' thing when installing apps but since disabling the 'recommendations' have seen no others at all, I might note that on previous Samsung I could not disable the frequent requests to rate their native apps and if opened eg. Galaxy store would get an ad every time that cannot be avoided.
-Nice haptic feedback / vibration, strong but not overkill, seems of a much higher quality than any phone I've had.
-In a world with fewer and fewer, here is a very decent sounding 3.5mm jack.
-Camera is mostly good, great colours, with generally accurate, natural presentation, easily better than my old S7, comparable to family member's S10 but without the OTT colours of that device's over-processing, however detail in my experience on Poco is hit and miss, I'm yet to understand why, as can take similar shots not long apart, one of which will have a kind of digital 'noise' when zooming in, the other will resolve a lot more detail, without changing any settings or lighting etc.
-GCAM, good to have the option, more reliable in regards to detail problem mentioned above, seems as if it just hoovers up more information in every shot than stock.
-Sliding front camera is good, very clear and it's nice to have some control over how 'exposed' we feel when using a smartphone, it also is very quiet if disable the sound and seems neat, reliable.
Cons:
-Big, it's not massive like a Max 3, more P20 Pro territory, but the weight and kind of 'feel' of the thing is a bit like holding a power bank, very 'slab' kind of quality, esp. chunky with included case on and kind of elongated screen means occasional shuffle to reach top, I'm fine but family with smaller hands complained they found this frustrating.
-Extra camera lenses seem pointless /overkill, only find regular use for main and others just are not as good.
-OS has a habit of killing apps if not on screen, so eg. have browser open, go to camera app to take pics, go back to browser and it reloads, seems strange given RAM and despite attempting to 'whitelist' said browser(s) in settings this still happens for me.
-As others have said, since OS update to Android 11 there are definitely bugs, first the auto brightness for me was all over the place, then this seemed to settle down after a while, then the split screen and picture-in-picture or video overlapping another app just either caused weird touches and ghost presses or crashes all apps after a few minutes use, this flakiness is frustrating and seems avoidable as it was not there at all in previous build.
-Charger, very fast but I find it disconcerting how warm the device gets, which can't be good for the battery - I'd like an option in settings to disable fast charging as found on Samsung's higher end models, rather than have to buy a slower brick.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021Mi 10T Pro or Poco F2 Pro?
I know F2 Pro has audio jack,... morePoco F2 Pro if you want a display with deep blacks, bright, piercing whites and rich saturated colors in a glorious HDR 10+ display that doesn't have an ugly, outdated hole punch that wastes so much space, it's so dumb to be still present in 2021 phones. It also has a Global ROM with Google Play and Widevine L1 compatibility with Netflix for HD playback, and sports that very useful headphone jack that is being used in all current, modern, high end audio equipment as well as useful for selfie sticks that don't need charging at all (shutter button triggered by headphone jack connection).
Otherwise, if you are OK with a holed display that you keep on plugging up when you'd rather want not to show your face accidentally in video conferences or meetings, if you want a better camera, high refresh rate screen and no headphone jack, in exchange for a slightly bigger battery, with MIUI China ROM software (for most, if not ALL variants) that doesn't have Google Play or Widevine L1 certification for playback of Netflix in HD, then get the Mi 10T Pro.

I think the buggy Android 11 is a mistake Xiaomi made. I don't think it is intended to be released.

i am very disappointed in their updates.,although the phone itself is good i have nothing to say but the update was so disappointing. A lot of bugs i have experienced. I dont think xiaomi care thier user for the update., instead of focusing in Stable version.. They're more focused in releasing of new phones. TSK! i phone dont often release new phones but they have stable version update.. even in their old models they still do an update.. tsk disappointing

Hi every one. I am using this phone for more than 3 months. I strongly advice you unlock bootloader and flash custom MIUI Roms. I am using MiuiMix weekly. Phone has miui 12.5 on android 11. No lags in launcher or no Major bugs. You can use phone butter smooth. I don't advice to use this phone official updates. I saw too many people have problems while using phone. I have never face this kind of problems. Because i unlocked and flashed Miui custom roms after 7 days which i bought phone. There is an one problem for me. The problem is, this phone don't have much developer support. Because idiot Xiaomi don't give kernel source codes to developers. Xiaomi's software teams are not good enaugh for increase this phone's performance at full potential. I wish Xiaomi wilö give source codes. Later we will get 75+ hx screen refresh rate oc options.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021Mi 10T Pro or Poco F2 Pro? I know F2 Pro has audio jack,... moreCamera on f2 pro is not bad (especially with gcam), but 10t pro camera hardware is way better because of bigger sensor and OIS.

Android 11 was or is a huge mistake. Not connected to my car I have similar bugs to others. Cannot use anything except Poco launcher, my paid for launcher is dead in the water now. Google assistant believes everything I say needs input, forget activating for no reason. Full screen and features only work with default launcher.
As for my car, just two weeks old. Android auto worked great on 10 on USB. Android 11 promised wireless connection which it did do. It did it until I drove into an undercover car park. Then it didn't. At first it needed the car to be rebooted, turned off, locked, unlocked and then it worked. Now even on USB it won't connect so can't use my phone in the car.
Tonight I'm finding the stock Android 10 and rolling back.

The silicon case that comes in the box with the phone is good, but it is in line with the camera bump, so you can still scratch it.
This one protrudes about 0.5 mm above the camera bump, so it adds a little more protection.

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2021Yes, it's OK. Just wait when a better, newer version (... moreI have same version and haven't met any of the above bugs (except 3rd party launcher cases, which I don't use).

More Android 11 bugs - Wireless screensharing to Smart TVs like Samsung and LG (using Miracast) is broken or no longer supported. Google's greed is forcing manufacturers to abandon the Miracast wireless screen sharing standard used by most Smart TVs. Google wants you to buy TV's with built-in Chromecast instead or buy a chromecast dongle so Google can monitor your viewing habits and sell you its own tv series/movie subscriptions. Android under Google is becoming like Apple's iOS. Greed, greed, greed and more greed.

M, 25 Jan 2021I was wondering how come I don't have issues with link... moreYes, I also disable MIUI optimization because some apps get killed with it or don't work properly with it. It was OK disabling it in Android 10. But in the Android 11 update of the Poco F2 Pro, it creates more problems than it solves, so now, I have to leave it on. It's like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. I'll be downgrading to Android 10 once my device is unlocked (7 days for first time). I can't tolerate the bugs - not being able to use 3rd party launchers (Nova has always been my launcher of choice; using it for several years). And that ugly white/black bar at the bottom center of the screen in FULL DISPLAY mode that is as buggy as hell, cannot be hidden at all, causing permanent AMOLED screen burn in and it is annoyingly stupid it serves ZERO purpose while CHOPPING OFF content making the bottom bezel look so much bigger it is just horrendous to look at. Then you cannot also hide anymore the status bar using ADB commands or using apps like Second Screen. Android 11 is just stupid. Just give us the security patches Xiaomi and forget about stupid Android 11 that's become less and less customizable and more like Apple's iOS because of Google's greed.

I was wondering how come I don't have issues with links. Yes, disabling MIUI optimisation always brakes some features of the phone - e.g. 3 finger screenshot doesn't work (and there are other features that stop working).
On the other hand, MIUI optimisation kills apps, and some only work properly with the setting OFF.
But in the end, I always leave it ON, because otherwise MIUI is even worse to use...

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2021I'm on 12.2.4.0 RJKEUXM. Attaching files in Gmail and ... moreTurning back ON MIUI optimization (Settings - Additional Settings - Developer Options) seems to solve this problem and many others involving attaching files to emails, uploading photos for reviews in shopping apps and problems regarding 'Open with', 'Complete Action With' and 'Share with'. It fixes not being able to open PDF files via File Manager. Why? I absolutely do not know. Still, turning MIUI Optimization to OFF (default setting in 'Developer Options' is ON) will create all these sorts of maladies/bugs in Android 11 but NOT in Android 10. Go figure.
The rest of the bugs remain - custom launchers have broken navigation gestures, no recent apps displayed, etc. Xiaomi is probably forcing Poco F2 Pro users to use only its own Poco launcher and own MIUI apps/MIUI bloatware.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2021is it okay if you dont update it?Yes, it's OK. Just wait when a better, newer version (newer than 12.2.4.0) arrives with fewer issues and serious bugs. As it is, the current Android 11 version update just has TOO MANY issues and SERIOUS bugs you may not want to use your phone for some tasks because of the bugs. For example, when I send an email with an attachment to anybody, I can't do that on my Android 11 updated Poco F2 Pro. I need to copy first the attachment to another phone and send the email from that other phone! If I want to upload a photo for a product review on an shopping shopping site, my Android 11 updated Poco F2 Pro can't do that. I have to transfer the photo first to another phone and do the review there. If I want to view PDF files, I can't view them from file manager. I have to download and use another app that reads a PDF file, open that PDF reader app, and open the PDF file from that app's list. These are not the only issues. There are many more if you use third party launchers (Ex. Nova launcher), use dark mode, use gesture based navigation, etc. etc. Once you update, there's no going back. You'll have to suffer those bugs I mentioned and keep waiting for a newer update with major bug fixes. This update really is criminal, Xiaomi should never have released it. A security patch update without a major Android version update would have been better while they are still fixing bugs in Android 11 rather than release a half baked Android 11 OTA with many serious bugs.

I use "Spigen Rugged Armor Case", and I like it very much. It's 9 EUR on Amazon, but it's quality - no comparison to chinese fakes for 1-3 EUR.
It fits perfectly, covers the camera, and grips over the front of the phone about 1 mm, so you can put it down on a table.
i also got lucky with a glass protector, which fits from edge to edge of the case.
But consider, that it makes the phone even bulkier - although not as much as the big rugged cases made from plastic + rubber.
