It means the underdisplay scanner has to SHINE a BRIGHT LIGHT on your fingertip being scanned for it to be able to match it with one you stored in the phone.
Being OPTICAL in nature, strong ambient lighting and non reflective dry fingertips can affect the fingerprint authentication/read out process.
If you have fingerprint authentication problems, just make your fingertips more oily (less dry) by wiping the fingertip to be scanned against an oily part of your face, ears, head or body. It works everytime. Traditional capacitive fingerprint scanners (rear mounted or side mounted) are actually more reliable and consistent than these optical underdisplay fingerprint scanners. Traditional capacitive scanners are not affected by dry, flaky fingertips, or by strong ambient lighting (sunlight) since the readout process is not optical.

I bought this phone yesterday, Battery backup good, display good but not good like x2 pro, speaker good. Camera better than realme x2 pro, quite havey phone, Very fast but not like realme x 2 pro, If any one used x2 pro he will catch the difference But overall good phone. Never heat.

Does anyone have a problem in the sense that during the conversation the interlocutor suddenly does not hear you and that the fingerprint reacts poorly in strong sunlight? I think it started with MIUI 12

Ashif, 15 Sep 2020I want to buy this phone me . I am using realme X2 pro . Is... moreIf you are after the 5G on SD 865 and better battery life then go ahead, if the 5G and bigger battery are not what you after then I think it's a bit meaningless as it does not offer great upgrade from X2 Pro..
The X2 Pro still a very good phone, chipset is still very fast, better display with 90hz rate & dual stereo speakers with dolby, 64mp camera, and what it lacks was just the battery capacity I think, but it was already compensated with a super fast charge time with 65 watt charger..

the phone price will drop after 5 months.
8GB/128 LPDDR5 = USD 435
6GB/128 LPDDR4X = USD 362
this price was on 10 september 2020. S.E.A market price. somehow all sold out at this point of price.
need to wait further price drop around 1 month more. Most of the seller still stubborn to drop the price.

that's what i need, even if it does not have higher refresh rate, and no water proofing, the camera at memory speed and the processor are all good and new... im not a gamer but i need faster and beter performance for my daily business life.

Bought this phone for $375 and totally bang for the buck. Only issue is that it's very heavy. But performance wise, one of the best this year.
