Sikandar khalol, 23 Jul 2020Nothing happens bro even i turn off my device then it'... moreCharging takes longer if the battery is still warm especially right after heavy gaming. 90 minutes charging time is still within normal but you should avoid getting the battery to ALWAYS go below 20% before charging if you want the battery to last longer. Charging only after the battery has gone 0% or 5% is not good for battery longevity.

rubyk, 23 Jul 2020Is it ok to Charge while playing? Yes you can always charge while playing or play while charging. But take note of the battery temperature. Heat is a battery's biggest enemy. If you keep the battery cool, it will last longer. If you keep on stressing the battery, it will wear faster.

I'm looking for an upgrade maybe this poco f2 pro this phone is a bang for a buck on paper but I'm bit hesitant maybe I'll just wait for next year's flagship snapdragon 875 or mediatek's flagship

It's called 'intelligent Wi-Fi' feature in my Samsung A71 but I never use it because I don't like my phone auto switching to mobile data if my Wi-Fi is weak (which can be wasteful to mobile data and costly if you're downloading large files). Outside, it can also auto connect to free, unsafe Wi-Fi sources if your mobile data is poor which may be a security issue if you are doing financial transactions.

Muzo3, 21 Jul 2020Am need of a phone and debating on which one I should go fo... moreThe Poco F2 Pro is better in almost everything (battery, camera, display, processor, overall features and performance) and still has 2 year software update support. The Mate 20 Pro is end of life (almost 2 years old). The ip68 rating will no longer be reliable (rubber seals crack, shrink and become brittle with age causing leakage), the amoled display will have lost significant brightness and proper color balance (amoleds deteriorate fast compared to IPS displays) and the battery will have aged causing decreased capacity and more frequent charging.

Get the Poco F2 Pro unless it's a lot more expensive than the Mate 20 Pro. Alternately, you can get something newer from other brands, that fit your budget. Try other offerings from Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme and Vivo.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2020Is this phone worth it? because the price is lower than one... moreFor me, the Poco F2 Pro is better for gaming than the Oneplus 8 Pro because it has the most important aspects of gaming COVERED: 1. Big, completely FLAT screen (not curved screen like the Oneplus) with no ugly punch holes for a truly satisfying and truly immersive experience.
                                      2. A bigger battery to make you enjoy your game longer without needing to charge
                                      3. Sufficiently detailed screen with fast touch response time which greatly helps with better responsiveness in gaming because it's running the fastest Snapdragon processor that doesn't get bogged down by very high refresh rates and very high screen resolution.

You may think the higher refresh rate of the Oneplus 8 Pro and the higher screen resolution can significantly benefit gaming, but NO, it's largely overrated. It actually taxes the processor and battery life more resulting to less than stellar gaming experience and responsiveness. Remember, you are gaming in a small phone screen, not a huge computer monitor. The higher refresh rate and higher resolution will not be noticeable to most people yet it will actually adversely affect the processor performance. It's the touch response time of the phone and your skill as a gamer that matters more from a real and practical standpoint.

As for photo/video, I never liked Oneplus (and Samsung's) approach to out of camera jpeg processing. If you like bright, vivid, oversaturated colors, highly sharpened and oversmooth images which can look good on small phone screens but otherwise lacking in detail and color accuracy (for a flagship) in large 4K monitors and TV's, you can go ahead with the Oneplus 8 Pro or perhaps a Samsung flagship. Both have similar tendencies for outputting overprocessed/overcooked jpeg images that give everyday photos the bright, lively exposure ('pop') most people like never mind if it's clipping color channels and highlights. I on the other hand prefer the more realistic/accurate colors of the Poco F2 Pro that doesn't clip color channels due to oversaturation; which remind me of my Canon dSLR. Images that retain just enough grain/noise to for a natural, realistic looking photo that looks great not only zoomed out, but also zoomed in at 100% crop, with color, noise, and sharpness that's spot on. The Poco F2 Pro also has a very capable macro camera, which the Oneplus 8 Pro doesn't have. In addition, the Oneplus 8 Pro doesn't offer 8K 24fps/30fps video option so if you want your memorable events to look good even years from now, even on huge 8K TV's or projectors which will be the defacto standard just a few years from now, you'll certainly want to capture important events/milestones in nothing less than 8K video (with a gimbal of course). Also, you can grab a frame from an 8K video and get a perfectly detailed photo that's at least 20 megapixels in resolution (true 8K = 33.2 megapixels) so you may want to use your 8K video to grab photo frames if in the dedicated photo only mode, you were not able to capture the perfect moment.

The Oneplus 8 Pro may be a better choice though IF you if you are a heavy telephoto user (3x optical zoom with OIS) and don't care about the macro camera of the Poco F2 Pro. As for me, no built in phone OIS is ever good enough for serious video capture so I always use a gimbal when taking videos. As for photos, the lack of OIS matters, YES, but only for telephoto shots. It is really not much of an issue if you frequently use only the main (wide) camera and the ultrawide camera. The advent of GCam with Night Sight greatly diminishes need for OIS in wideangle cameras to avoid camera shake from long exposures. Also, OIS is actually much more of a necessity ONLY in longer focal lengths (telephoto lenses) than wideangles (the main phone camera) or ultrawideangles because the recommended slowest shutter speed to minimize camera shake is 1/focal length. Wideangles and ultrawideangles have much smaller focal lengths which means you can have a slower shutter speed and still not have much camera shake. That's the reason why in dSLR's, you normally don't see wideangle lenses equipped with OIS; only telephoto lenses have them to minimize camera shake but even then, tripod is recommended for really long telephoto lenses.

Lastly, given the comparisons above, what the Poco F2 Pro sacrifices in gaming, photography and screen specs, are negligible and doesn't make much of a difference to what the Oneplus 8 Pro offers better in those areas for almost 2x higher price, that it is simply just not worth it. For the same 128GB storage option, the Oneplus 8 Pro costs 40% higher than the Poco F2 Pro yet you may actually enjoy your gaming more in the Poco F2 Pro and capture better photos and videos in the Poco F2 Pro than the Oneplus 8 Pro for 40% less price. But that's just me. Your personal needs, experience and budget may gravitate you towards the Oneplus 8 Pro or another phone.

Az, 19 Jul 2020Screen response fast poco?Yes, it's more than fast enough for any gaming. If you lose the game, it has more to do with your gaming skills than the screen response.
