There are ads on specific situations like on installing app from playstore but you can completely disable every ad in just 5 minutes through settings... For the performance perspective Poco F3 is untouchable in this price, cameras are better than average but not great, otherwise this phone is perfect flagship killer...

Who else is confused rather i should take this phone or not.
To be honest reading all those reviews here and selecting a phone will be hard for you.

Gino76ph, 08 May 2022Like yourself and maybe other i don't tinker with ROMs... moreOn your position, I would go to either A52s 5G (rather than A53) or S21+. A53 5G is downgrade compared to A52s in some respects (read the review in gsmarena would give you a better picture about what I mean). As between S21+ and A52s, I would say it's really depend on your budget and how you want to use your phone. With my using pattern, A52s would be good enough for me. But your need could be different than mine so you need to decide for yourself.

Having owned the brillaint Pocophone F1 since 2019, I thought to upgrade to Poco F3 but I was put off when I read in reviews that MIUI has been now full of adverts popping up left and right. So no Poco F3 unfortunately.

As of now, as far as I ... moreLike yourself and maybe other i don't tinker with ROMs and i don't really get into benchmarks. For me it has always been a "a good software makes a good hardware" kinda person. And i would go for a company that is known for timely and quicker-than-the-rest updates.
I bought a Xiaomi 11T 5 days ago but i'm returning it, Sati ng in the vein of Mediatek SoC i wasn't impressed with the cameras at all. So, i thought...why not go back to the Poco F3. older chipset but slow updates=poor optimisations. My next guy would probably be a brand new Galaxy A53 5G or an older S21+ 5G. In the UK i believe they are both Exynos-powered. What are your thoughts please?

I found solition by deleting all data from netflix and RESTART THE PHONE. I used big word bcs its important to restart phone otherwise its not gonna change to L1. My question is: is it issue of software (miui 13) or it is on Netflix half?

Gino76ph, 07 May 2022So, an SoC built "in house" like a Snapdragon or ... moreActually, Exynos also use Mali GPU. As of now, as far as I know, only snapdragon and apple who completely build their own SoC.

My personal opinion is probably a bit unpopular. I think that mid-tier SoCs like SD 765G (or maybe top end SoC from 2-3 years ago like SD 865 or 870) are good enough for 95% (or even more) users. The thing is, some people really obsessed with raw numbers (specs, benchmarks, etc.) without understanding the whole context. In my opinion, dimensity 1200 would also be fine for most user.

Personally, I try to avoid mediatek SoC because their closed source code, making it is difficult for mod/custom rom developer. That's why you can't really find devices with mediatek chips with good custom rom support. However, I am well aware I'm quite a niche user. So if you don't care about custom roms then mediatek is definitely a valid option.

Those who complain in gaming, I would say the game itself is poorly optimized. Why release a game that cannot be handled properly by a specific smartphone model? Smartphone gaming is among the worst gaming platform.
If a game is really good, it should be designed and tuned to match the smartphone's processing power, so the whole scene of gaming is asking user to always upgrade to a more powerful smartphone, very bad marketing strategy by gaming company. Those who complain overheating are never a PC gamer who doesn't understand how gaming works, then smartphone is the one that cannot be upgraded or downgraded, all component built in, is never made for serious gaming.

Generally it is a good phone. Recently upgraded to MIUI 13.0.2 with Android 12.
I have encountered one big issue so far. GPS doesn't work when mobile data is enabled. Navigation starts in Maps app and within a minute, it starts giving message: "GPS Signal Lost". If I disable mobile data, GPS/Navigation starts working normally.
This practically makes the phone useless for navigation, especially if you rely on mobile data like me. I first reported this issue back in January, 2022 but still unresolved..

A SoC (Sy... moreSo, an SoC built "in house" like a Snapdragon or Exynos would in theory bring abouts better integration of components thus bringing better performance, camera quality and tighter control of enhancements via "faster" updates?
Would you still say the Dimensity 1200 of the Xiaomi 11T is not bad for its price and better than most midrange out there tho?

Gino76ph, 04 May 2022Well, the SD870 is an older 7nm chipset whilst the Dimensit... more7 nm vs 6 nm is only a small part of the story... A SoC (System on a Chip) consist of various component. The most well know components are probably CPU and GPU, but beside that there are modem, audio processing unit, image processing unit, and so on. So the quality of sound/image/connection depend on the quality of the component related to them.

Furthermore, as far as I know Mediatek doesn't design and/or manufacter all of the component by themself to reduce cost (because development costs a lot). For example they get they GPU from ARM (mali GPU). I'm not sure with other parts but I wouldn't be surprised if they also do the same for other parts. On snapdragon chip, most of the components (if not all) are developed and manufactured by Qualcomm (or under contract from Qualcomm), enabling tighter integration and generally better optimization.
