It's something that Discord needs to do to have the higher fps support for the phone as the phone needs to be supported on there part

I remember when F1 come out then that phone was not supported in Asphalt 9 game to run it with 60 fps so later they added that phone to there game support and that was done by gameloft part with there own app update.

And regardless what they are working on, you cant keep people hanging with an outdated security patch.
As for Discord, of course it bothers when from a 120hz you go down to 30 in that app, everything looks sluggish and slow, impossible to not notice.

It' will be released very soon in december in EU. I recommend you download HyperOsDownloder from play store. You can unlock many settings in this program that are not available in MIUI. But be careful. Some things still don't work. And this discord stuff why dou you even need 60 or 120fps in this? 90 FPS is not available without nodding. Anyway so many people complaining. Stay away from this phone. Buy your crappy iPhone or Samsung.

This is probably Discord's fault for not optimizing it but its still something i dont like.

Secondly the phone update schedule is very slow, the latest security patch is October 1, 2023. And the system update was back in September 2023...

There are some bugs here and there but mostly on the POCO launcher, hopefully HyperOS will get rid of them.

I don't want to brag but how good is this phone to have 1500+ comments here? I'm thinking of buying it one day because I don't want to wait 1.5 or 2 years for the game I'm currently playing to be optimized to play on good settings. Because I'm still waiting for the "victims" if there is something I should avoid or make sure if I should buy this phone or not.

You say it's 1.3M from who knows where. So all sites give different scores for them.
Also it all depends on how the chip is clocked in what phone so the score will be different in different phones

For example S23 with the 8g2 shows 1.2M in Antutu v9 while for Asus phones shows 1.3M
And then in different sites the score is different also for same phones.

Fabrice2023, 19 Oct 2023WARNING : AVOID THIS PHONE FOR NOW as there is a big issue ... moreI have the same issue with the global version. Initially, I thought it was a service provider problem. I had my service provider reset my SIM card twice, but the problem persisted.

I switched the SIM card to a Redmi Note 8 Pro, and it worked fine. Then, I tried my company's SIM card (from another service provider) on the Poco F5, but I still experienced intermittent call drop issues.

I sent the phone for warranty claim, and they admitted that a few users had similar issues. They changed the motherboard, but it didn't solve the problem.

I've tried all the recommendations here, such as turning off VoLTE, changing the preferred network, turning off Wi-Fi, etc. However, the problem still persists. I'm out of ideas.

If any of you have been interested in this phone, but have not bought it yet for some reason, WAIT FOR THE POCO X6 PRO (coming very soon). It has been proven that it will be based on the brand new Redmi K70E and it is everything the Poco F5 is AND MORE!

                                      Poco X6 Pro:
                                      • Much faster chipset (Dimensity 8300; ~+50% AnTuTu score)
                                      • Better screen (1220p; 1800 nits peak brightness)
                                      • Better touch sampling for gamers (480Hz on the X6 Pro; 240Hz on the F5)
                                      • Bigger battery and faster charging (5500mAh; 90W; 0-100% in 34 minutes)
                                      • Same camera setup and OIS, with probably very similar quality
                                      • UFS 4.0 internal storage speed!!!
                                      • Android 14 out of the box (and it will probably get 2 OS updates)
                                      • In-display fingerprint reader (subjective, but I say it’s preferable)

No word on the IP RATING, though.
The price should be similar to the F5.

pl2rts, 29 Nov 2023To be honest it's all rumors at this point. To look pr... moreI know the history of the F series, but you have to put it into context: the F1 was a single phone, while recent entries have had Pro or GT models which were the true successors of the F1, while the current vanilla F models are „lite“ editions of the Pro models.

Furthermore, the F3 and F4 were designed and built during the pandemic and the global chipset crisis. SoC manufacturers had to focus their efforts on flagship chips and left the mid-range sort of abandoned. That’s why the F2, F3 and F4 had basically the same chip, but nowadays the upper midrange SoCs have properly returned. And I’m comparing the F6 to the Redmi Note 13 Turbo because it is the most recent rebranding in the F series (Redmi Note 12 Turbo to F5).

Anyway, we won’t have to wait half a year to know what the F6 will be like, since the Chinese version of the phone will most likely be announced early next year.

But I agree with the need to have a 1.500.000 AnTuTu points SoC in the F6. Or even better, since the Poco X6 Pro will already have such a SoC.
