radwind, 05 Feb 202413T isn't flagship, not even 13T Pro. It doesn't ... more13T and 13T Pro are like Samsung S class FE version.
Can be still said that these are flagships or budget flagship.
Only D8200 in 13T isn't that good in performance but it still have flagship cameras on the phone that you dont see in any of the middle class phones.
While 13T Pro is totally a flagship and it's price also. D9200 is a flagship chip as the best of Mediatek on the time of the phone release.
Or is it cause the phone have a plastic frame then that makes it not a flagship ?
Can you explain what exactly is a flagship in your understanding !

Gann, 05 Feb 2024Again, for all the unfair comparison since both are release... more13T isn't flagship, not even 13T Pro. It doesn't matter if comparison is unfair to you because other people have different pricings depending on their own region, unfair to you may be fair to others.

So I decided to update to HyperOS anyway and for now, there is no noticeable bugs or problems. At least for my model. There are new additional features and if you're not into these, the update wouldn't feel that different. The UI is smoother now though and I love the new lock screen customization. No lags on playing games like ML and CODM. I can't comment about the battery because I'm a heavy user and doesn't really care about it since the phone has fast charging.

Again, for all the unfair comparison since both are released not in the same time and both having different pricing, both has their pros and cons for F5 and 13T. At the end, it is up to personal preference if both phones are not been used for very long. But safe to say, basic one at least goes with F5, if have more budget, can consider 13T, or F5 Pro. Another option would be POCO X6 Pro, but that is for other reason, such as 512GB, powerful Mediatek Dimensity processor. For real reason, you can only judge the smartphone is good or not if you can use the smartphone for 1 year, but that is not realistic, since there is no long period "free to try". Of course, those are budget smartphones, definitely there is shortcoming, and please be realistic, don't compare to real flagship, those of course is much better, but not for fair comparison. I know for euro and America pricing you got better choice, and for those smartphone is not cheap, you might get cheaper flagship. For Asia region, those are much cheaper than EURO counterpart, and is a no brainer choice as it can go way cheaper, almost just around 300 EURO up to 500 EURO, and Asia has way more expensive pricing for real flagship, really is different case.

Akame, 04 Feb 2024Exactly you dont, so why update in the first place. There i... moreI have Detsember 1 security update on my European version of the phone and it come with the hyberOS update
It's not like Xiaomi phones ever get security updates on the month these get released. Maybe only there flagship class but not for Redmi or Poco for sure.
Also how does security update affect your apps and games ? And well the point you made is just absurd if you care for security then you do the updates you can to have the latest security patch even when it be 3 months old cause you probably have it even more then just 2-3 months old

So glad I choose blue. I already noticed scratches on the plastic camera ring. Can't imagine how disgusting the back panel scratches will be if I was to go with black.

Problem with updates is for the phone it's self and not on the support that is given by apps and games that must do that on there own while Xiaomi and Poco cant do any of the support for the apps and games on there own.

Akame, 04 Feb 2024I would wait for more stable versions of HyperOS, currently... moreAll of that is the part the games need to optimize. Xiaomi can't do anything on that.
Kind of weird to say that dont update cause games are not optimized and apps like discord or something dont have higher then 30hz (now that there is 120hz in discord)
It's all the work of the apps developers who need to add the support and optimize.
Sadly 7+ gen 2 is not made on other phones or tablets and the reason is probably from Qualcomm side why we dont see it on other phones then Realme GT Neo5 SE and Redmi note 12 Turbo/Poco F5
From my point of view this chip is good and what SD 7 series should be already like and not like the rest of the 7 gen 1, 7s gen 2 and the like that perform maybe a bit better or a bit worse then these SD778/780/782 chips
All these 7 Gen chips just look like rename with little tweaks like 6 years ago was SD625 that was in everything and they made SD636 that also didnt made it on a lot of devices but a lot more then this 7+ gen 2

See this user's opinion about typical Xiaomi phones color reproduction found in 13T page:
EUphotoguy > I don't get how biased and incompetent review we got from GSMA - they praised that camera, which is unfortunately one of the biggest let downs on this phone! Especially comparing to critic Pixel 8 pro got in that respect! Dear readers, don't believe a letter here - as you can even see in compare tool - this 13T is only tiny improvement from older phones, and LEICA collaboration did not fixed problem with horrible colours which were plaguing cheaper Xiaomi phones with very cold colours, or magenta if you go for vibrant. Colours are hideous and let's not lie here - Leica did nothing to make things better, but you have options to choose only "vibrant worse" or "flat worse" - but neither realistic or more warm. So unless you like to take too many pictures on manual mode, fiddling with WB, you can't get it right - for me a huge huge disappointment. Even comparing with full-resolution of cheap 108mp redmi phone could not make me find any difference. Comparing to older 50 mpx Realme phones - no difference. Comparing to old P30 Pro - Huawei is winning like on a huge huge margin! So dear Xiaomi engineers - how comes that at the end 2023 you create "cheap-flagship" phone which is inferior to Chinese flagship from 2019, currently sold on second-hand market in pristine conditions for 200 eur?
To finish it - this phone is great as a "package" but disaster as a photography tool - you will be better of with many older flagships and definitely if you pay 600 eur for this comparing to 650 eur for older Pixel 7 pro, you did a bad choice.
