Are you sure that your phone is the original phone version marketed for India or is it a China phone model flashed with indian ROM ?

I bought the 256 GB/8GB 5G variant in India(Bangalore) and have been facing a peculiar issue of sim slot not being detected every now and then. A reboot of the phone solves the issue momentarily and the problem randomly reappears, sometimes in a week or within a day. I have tried all sorts of hacks like setting network to only 4G and enabling/Disabling VOLTE and Wi-Fi calling but there was no respite. I have approached the Xiaomi service center 3 times but everytime, they just say its a software issue and return the phone with a software refresh. Is anyone facing an issue similar to this? I have even tried changing the Airtel Sim twice and have used both the sim slots but the issue of sim slot not being detected has not gone away. It's not very reassuring to use the phone this way.

pl2rts, 19 Oct 2023Have you google the problem to find out if other people als... moreHello
I have made some additional research.
My phone model is the China Redmi Note 12 Turbo (12GB RAM/256GB ROM) but it was flashed by the distributor with the global rom of poco F5 (supposedly same hardware).
I found some discussion on xiaomi.eu about this cellular network instability issue as it looks like other owners of the China model have same bug as soon as they use a rom different from the China stock ROM, some users have been lucky with other ROMS (MIUITN and also Elite ROMs), but for now i have not tried to flash another ROM on my phone and continue to use it only with wifi until I have some time to make further research.

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2023Let's just hope the phone doesn't have any issues... moreLike you said X3 Pro
There was no issues with X4 and not so far with X5
Also never was issues with the F series.
This comment is just annoying yellow paper defaming troll post.
The X3 Pro motherboard issue was specifically only in India market.
India market phones are different then China only and Global version that is made for European market. Also there was news that the India Xiaomi CEO was fired cause of the motherboard issue and they made changes in quality control.
Also F series is Poco flagship while X series is Poco top middle class.
So do you expect all brands have motherboard issues on there flagship phones when there budget or middle class phones have issues ???
4 years ago one of my coworker bought Huawei something 300 euro as that time it was like low end of the middle class for Huawei and it also had motherboard issue and went under warranty to replace the motherboard. So will i now expect there flagships also have these issues ? Or other example with Samsung when they made exploding batteries on there flagship and it ended up to a point where that battery technology got banned from phones and were not allowed to be used by users who wanted to travel with a plane as it had high risk that the battery explode in high altitude.
So they also fix the issue and ask users to return the phones to replace the batteries.
Will we expect also Samsung not learn from past mistakes and still do the same mistakes ?
The examples can go on and on with all brands and making these comments that i hope there wont be issues like these are now expected cause one or 2 budget to middle class use to have a issue so now all need to have like it's a feature.

Also there are not yet a lot of bands for 5G
For example in my country only 2 carriers have license to use 5G bands so there is like only 1 for each. 3rd carrier dont even have 5G band to use
Realme can have 500mah more battery but that will bea eaten by that 144hz screedn and higher resolution too. And 100W over 67W charging speed probably only saves you 10 minutes on charging while heats the phone up a lot more too

Anonymous, 23 Oct 2023Guess so, only reason I wanna get the poco f5 is because of... moreHigher screen resolution is not better for gaming as more power is used for the higher resolution.
And if you look for the Realme GT Neo SE that is missing 4G band of B20 if your country need it or not i dont know but that is needed in Europe.
You have a option to get Redmi Note 12 Turbo that is same as Poco F5 but with 2 more options as 12GB ram and 512GB storage and 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12187&idPhone2=12181
Also you probably wont make any difference in 144hz over 120hz screen and you need 120fps for the 120hz to work so for 144hz you need 144fps while most games are capped at either 30 or 60fps. So basically you get less fps with that 144hz and larger screen resolution in games then you get with the Redmi note 12 Turbo or Poco F5
Also i dont think there be more parts for repair cause is officially release in your location but it be a lot easier to repair cause you dont need to ship your phone to over seas.
If you live in Europe then you get 2 years of warranty that you wont get with the Realme and Redmi note 12 Turbo and also with both you dont have B20 band for 4G that is important for internet in cities in Europe

But vendors overseas are selling the Realme GT Neo 5SE (7+gen2,better battery, charging speed, display and it's 144hz. But no headphone jack)
Quite couldn't figure it out between the two, will lean towards poco f5 because there's no parts available for repair because it's officially released in here
