Anonymous, 18 Oct 2023Imagine buying a phone with no card slot Lmfao dummiesThe only dummy in here is yourself. Imagine being so dumb that complain about microSD card slot like that is an issue when you can transfer your files trough internet or trough cable or just on to a usb stick.

Removing the microSD card all the time would be a lot more hassle then doing something like that. Never mind that the phone have 256GB storage that is more then enough for majority of people who buy this phone. MicroSD card made sense for phone that had like up to 64GB storage on the phone but all over that just makes no sense

I would think that you have not and the problem is most likely the filter that is holding the phone rather then the phone it's self or the carrier.

My phone dont have these issues. Is GSMA your only tech site to visit ? I usually first look the problem by searching the issue from google or the like search engines. Or go to reddit or to miui forums to see if other experience the same issue.

What will it accomplish to complain about it in here where you probably dont get the help you need

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2023Imagine buying a phone with no card slot Lmfao dummiesMy last phone was only 128GB and used it for 2.5 years, only used 40% storage mostly for games and app, I store my pictures and videos on Google photos. I save my files on GDrive and onedrive. I don't have MP3 or MP4 files, I stream music on Spotify and watch movies/TVs online. Imagine still needing SD card in 2023, go back to 2013 🤣

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2023The problem is not with the phone but with your carrier. Yo... moreno the problem is with the phone, it is configured as "LTE preferred" and even if I had chosen "5G preferred" it is capable to switch to the best network speed available (4G->3G->2G) it is not a "5G only" setting, and I can have 4G connection sometimes for a while but suddenly it drops for no reason and I have to disconnect/reconnect data, this is not happening with my other phone(redmi note 10s) with same simcard.
The big problem is that it also drops cellular calls, sometimes I cannot call or cannot receive cellular calls ! 5G/4G has nothing to do with cellular calls IMHO, I can disable data and I have this phone call issue.

Fabrice2023, 19 Oct 2023WARNING : AVOID THIS PHONE FOR NOW as there is a big issue ... moreThe problem is not with the phone but with your carrier. Your phone is trying to connect to a 5G signal which it cannot find. Go to Settings/SIM cards & mobile networks. Then tap on your SIM card and come down to 'Preferred network type' and select 4G/3G/2G auto.

WARNING : AVOID THIS PHONE FOR NOW as there is a big issue with phone calls and 4G/5g stability !!!
I have this phone since one month and at first I used it as a second phone only for browsing on wifi and it was fine, I was very happy with it.
But since last week I inserted my sim card in the phone and I found that the mobile connection is very unstable, I can hardly use it for calling or receiving calls, and also the 4G/5G internet is going on and off very frequently.
When I try to call someone, 3 times out of 4 it drops the call and it lose the mobile carrier signal, same for incoming calls where the callers are notified that my phone is not connected to the cellular network.
I didn't notice when I bought this phone as I was travelling and when I used a local sim card abroad I thought that it was poor quality of the mobile network as it was in an african country, but now I have tested my sim card on my old phone (redmi note 10s) and in the new one and I am sure that there is a big problem on this phone model, I hope that the bug comes from the software and will be fixed in next MIUI release (it is currently on MIUI Global 14.0.7) but for now it cannot be used as a main phone, only secondary on WiFi.

I am fine with the bloated apps or speaker and camera cons since i rarely take picture with a phone and i mostly used earbuds when listening to music, watching videos and playing games. I just worried since i see some people said that the phone has motherboard problem, well most of them i saw and checked again are from Indian user mentioning it. I guess i was bit relieved seeing your and other replies about the phone good condition. I'll keep this phone in my wish list for now. I thank you again for the kind response.

GloriousSLB, 18 Oct 2023That price only made in India right? Not in Europe for sure ..Yeah, India price only. During this time (prior Diwali festival) the biggest online sale goes live. Two of the biggest players: Flipkart (owned by Walmart) amd Amazon India duel among themselves in a price war and ultimately we consumers gets benefited.

One such downright ludicrous offer from Flipkart this year was on Poco F5. I got the 8/256GB variant of F5 for ₹20.5K/ $246/ €233 without any exchange. For this price it is an unbeatable phone. Nothing can come close to it. Even its somewhat ordinary camera becomes one of the best in this segment at this price point. On other aspects no-one can compete with F5 for this price. Very satisfied with this phone.

So far we have not seen these issues in X4 and X5 series while F series never had the motherboard issues in the first place.

I have used the Poco F5 for around 4 months now and i have the 8GB RAM version while i cant complain on anything with it. There are some annoying issues i have with some apps but that seems to be more of the Android issue then MIUI as these issues are with other brand phones too like no notification for messenger app that gets either delayed notification or not at all.

Also in this 4 months i have got already 3 updates for security patch so on that front i cant also complain cause with my last phone i got only 1 OS update and like 3-4 security updates and it was Redmi Note 5 AI

At this price point i dont think you can get anything better.
If you would look for Poco F5 Pro then i would recommend to go with Samsung S22 that have better cameras and more compact size as the price is close to same

Luna, 18 Oct 2023For everyone here who's already bought the phone, how&... moreI think you're good to go for Poco F5 . Regarding motherboard issues it's all about X series manufactured in India . Seek for China product , it's better . In my opinion as a few days user , poco F5 is one of the best mid-range on market but nevertheless I 'm not pleased with 2 particular features , plastic construction and Xiaomi skin over the Android . Xiaomi software is too much restrictive and aggresive with 3.rd party apks , it's a nightmare to debloat and set a personalized using mode . Cameras are average , sound is awesome , battery is great , radio modem is also good , the panel is outstanding , fingerprint is quick and reliable and not at the least memory is very fast. User experience for me is quite fine due fluid tranzitions and lack of any delays or freeze .
Regarding also the range price and these characteristics , Poco F5 was the best option for me .

For everyone here who's already bought the phone, how's your experience with it? how long have you used the phone? I am still looking for a new phone right now because my last phone, poco x3 pro died three days ago. My friends recommend me to check out poco f5, it's a great phone they said. I am still reluctant about poco releases because of the problem (motherboard problem) i encountered in my last x3 pro and i don't similar experience happen to me with the poco f5. Any info or updates regarding this phone is fine, I already search in several forums and there are some conflicting review about the phone.

ThePit, 17 Oct 2023The poco f5 and you are the cameras are very underestimated... morePoco phones have always being for performance so you get flagship performance for budget middle class price. That means they need to cut corner to get cost down and camera would be the first place where to get the price down.

Never mind that you cant even get top camera phones on the 400 euro price range. And it wont be top end camera on a phones that are like 2-3 years old and now are priced at 400 euro range.

This phone has good middle class camera on it. People say Samsung A54 have better camera but they have heavy filters that give brightness and contrast to the pictures so it's more like user preference on that do they like the filtered photoes or dont
