You claim that the security level update on your phone is newer than the one on mine by a month. What that really means is that you had to wait an extra month for the update that I enjoyed a month earlier!

Hi, if anyone here owns the Poco F5 can you please ask these questions?
    1. Is MIUI good for gaming and daily usage
    2. Is it smooth? Like the UI,not "gaming" smooth
    3. How is the heat with a case on? And does it throttle?

I bought the phone from a local mobile phone repair shop that ordered it from Hong Kong. It's what they told me. And my MIUI is global version and not EU version. My country have Xiaomi shop but it's still pretty new and the phone at that time was like 30 euro more expensive when i bought it.

Also seems like MIUI global version is better then EU version cause it has one month newer security update then the EU version have.

Hong Kong is part of CHINA, so if, as you yourself claim, you have purchased a Poco F5 from HK then it must be a fake or a rebadged Note 12 Turbo, hence the Chinese ROM.

pl2rts, 21 Oct 2023Well it still shows me it is a global rom. Also do China ev... moreI purchased my Poco F5 directly from Xiaomi UK, which is their official dealership in that country so these are the specifications for the EU model:
          Model: 23049PCD8G
          Android version: 13 TKQ1.221114.001
          MIUI version: MIUI Global 14.0.8.0(TMREUXM)
          Android security update 2030-08-01
If those specs match those on your phone exactly then you have the official EU model, if they don't then it is not.

Does anyone encounter any problem after updating to version V14.0.7.0? I don't wanna update just to get bugs. This would my first update since buying this phone. Any issue on the battery or performance?

So weird that different regions in EU even have different MIUI version and also security updates too. You have 1 month older security update then i have

Nikojas, 20 Oct 2023Any F5 owners here? What’s the latest security patch and ha... moreBelow is the latest software version on my Poco F5 (India):
                          Model: 23049PCD8I
                          Android Version: 13 TKQ1.221114.001
                          Android security patch level: 01-Aug-2023
                          MIUI Global Version: 14.0.5.0 (TMRINXM)

I will again repeat for the price (₹20.5K/ $246/ €233) I paid for my F5 (8/256 GB variant) in my country, it has one of the best if not the best set of cameras in the price segment. And I say this after comparing with my Realme 9 Pro+ which comes with perhaps the best rear camera (Sony IMX766 sensor, OIS, 6P Lens) in this under $250 segment. Of course the 9 Pro+ is better than F5, but the difference is not huge in daylight photography.

And we all know Poco's main focus had always been on performance and not on photography. So much so that F5 is the only phone in India which comes with this Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2. This is very rare and the reason is Qualcomm is charging quite a lot for this SoC. If I compare this with my more camera centric alternative 9 Pro+, it has Mediatek Dimensity 920. It seems we cannot have best of both worlds under $250.
