Why should you get virus from a theme change app that is something that is part of the MIUI ? You cant even fix your colors option in a phone and then get triggered cause you dont get answers to your questions while your tooo lazy to use your head and search the issues you have trough internet and then go to a opinion section to ask help from the people in there.

This comment section for phones is not customer service channel to ask help on your dumb questions like do you have a threat to get a virus from themes or that you messed up your color settings so help me out

Also why the heck do you think i am in here with a phone ? If you have a phone your only means to access internet then it's on you

""Does applying themes from theme store harm the phonne in any way such as virus or lagging ?""

How does it even make sense to ask this question and then question my age when i suggest you to google your problems answers ??

[deleted post]Why not google the problems ?
Or look for tutorials trough youtube or tiktok ?
How to even help you when you ask dumb questions about themes ?

I need help the system color changes to the same color of my wallpaper how do i turn this off????

Does applying themes from theme store harm the phonne in any way such as virus or lagging ?

In return we the consumers gets benefited. I always wait for the right to pick a phone. I had my brand new Poco F5 (8/256GB) for a very good price of (₹20.5K/ $246/ €233) without any exchange.

I dont know much or anything about thermodynamics but it makes sense."

Bro.. my request .. either learn thermodynamics or stop making such thunderous claims with little knowledge.

Let me explain. The funda of thermal dissipation in a phone is to transfer as much heat as possible from inside (SoC) to outside (Our hands, air). This way SoC can remain cool and can provide maximum sustained performance.

Inbuilt liquid cooling systems are all made of copper and can only efficiently transfers the heat, if the middle frame is made of metal like aluminium. The frame on the other hand being made of aluminium is an excellent heat conductor. The frame will be conducting the same heat with minimal thermal loss to our hands. Where as plastic contains the heat resulting in CPU throttling.

That price is awesome for that phone, and as a collector I totally want that phone, except if I wanted to buy it, eBay would be my only option where it's around 400 usd, which I find a bit much, but I might just go for it at some point.

"Transsion also seems to be projecting Tecno as their most premium brand of the three.."

It does seem like that, which is kinda sad in my opinion, as I prefer Infinix out of the 3 Transsion brands.

DarlingYext, 31 Oct 2023Can you buy them in the EU? I've neither heard of nor ... moreI too own some Infinix and Tecno phones. They seem to make really good phones now-a-days just like midrange Realme & Poco devices. However they cost less and mostly provide just one major Android update and 2 years of security updates. I found out Transsion Holding owns all these 3 brands: Infinix, Tecno and Itel. So in general the same model/hardware used by all these brands with slight exterior differences.

I never comment on any brand without having personal long term experiences with their devices. Few months back I bought the brand new Tecno Phantom X at a dirt cheap price of $195 brand new. It was a stock clearance sale, but simply awed what Tecno was able to achieve with their first flagship phone with some noteworthy flagship traits. And the flagship traits focused here are not performance, but other aspects like product quality, in-hand feel, design, aesthetics, camera and user experience.

Sub $200 no other phone can touch it in these aspects. These flagship aspects are very hard to achieve in a phone than just slamming the best SoC available in the segment and touting for best performance. In our country in sub $200 segment, no other phone can touch Phantom X on these aspects.

Transsion also seems to be projecting Tecno as their most premium brand of the three, and Phantom X seems to be their first try in 2021. Hence phone comes with an age old MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, a 4G chipset. Well that was the best offering back then from Mediatek, and Transsion always use Mediatek SoCs. The newer Phantom X2 uses Mediatek Dimensity 9000 as an example.

Returning to Phantom X, amazingly Tecno seems to suck everything out of the SoC at least in terms of performance. No hiccups or jitter while using the phone and heavy apps. I am no gamer though.

Going back to the design and construction, for the price there is no phone in my country which comes with such meticulously crafted, well polished and well designed phone. The phone has a level of overall attention to build quality and aesthetics which are traits very hard to come by. The CNC machined, sand blasted, anodized aluminium metal middle frame feels super premium to hold. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides and provides lot of assurance regarding its durability. The back glass panel has a fine texture to it: it’s matte, which I love, but at the same time, there are microscopic grooves running vertically from top to bottom, giving it a three-dimensional effect that you can both see and feel and has a silk smooth feel when holding in hand. Very unique.

When the phone first arrived, in the Icelandic Blue color, I gazed on the phone and appreciated its exterior design for first 5 mins without turning it on. In comparison for my Poco F5, I looked at it for 30 secs max. I can now understand why Phantom X has won the international iF Design Award in 2022.

The other aspect to mention on the Phantom X is the camera setup of Phantom X. Truly impressive for its asking price. This is my first encounter with any Techno phone and initially I thought they just provided a bunch of specs with no quality, but I was wrong. The first few shots taken from the main rear 50MP, Samsung ISOCELL GN1, large Quad-Bayer sensor dropped my jaw with awe. This sensor is coupled with 7 individual lenses(7P) and takes 12MP resolution photos by default. In daylight the photos are sharp, have vibrant colors with very good details. Night time photography will deliver results which are even better than Nothing Phone 1 or my Samsung Galaxy A52s.

The curved AMOLED display is good, but nothing amazing. Just does the job. And yeah we get a 3.5 mm audio jack and memory card expansion slot. I got so impressed with its camera capability, built quality, design & aesthetics I got both color variants of Phantom X and use them as my secondary devices as they are 4G only.

I wish I didn't have or need to use protective case and glass, they namely spoil the joy of holding/using the phone. I hope manufacturers find a solution to this annoyance. I usually don't drop my phones, but you never know... Accidents are there to happen!

Some people never clean their phones, it's disgusting. I use my phones as a TV. I don't like seeing my fingerprints on the panel while watching TV, so I wipe them at least once a day. A protective glass becomes more of a necessity, because the physical wiping will ultimately wear the sensitive panel otherwise, irrespective of how the wiping is done.

And by the way, I want to thank all the contributors sharing their knowledge/experience on this thread. I actually learned something new. I never thought of a thin plastic or metal frame having an impact on the signal, that was an interesting piece of info, because waves are capable of penetrating several thick walls and concrete.

DarlingYext, 04 Nov 2023"Can you show sources for your claims of better signal... moreIn general yeah, but i wanted to see him try it out since hes a indian phone reviewer, to see if the gaps in metal frame are enough to keep up with plastic.

When you're gaming is your body hotter than the phone? What are you talking about holes? They have nothing to do here. Glass also conducts heat better than plastic.

For the antennae lines it makes a cap between metal even tough it's tight it is still a weak point as a crack while plastik frame is solid all around. But yeah the weak points should be around the power and volume buttons.

Also for the case i rather have it all sides and not for the sides protection but the phone screen protection as the chance to that the higher edge protect the screen. I dont see much of a point for the cases that dont have edges covered as that will protect more of the back of the phone and only corners. Also i dont want to get the protection glass on my screen as that makes the phone like 1mm thicker. I had that at first with my old phone Redmi note 5 AI and i didnt like it. The already installed screen protection film is enough for scratches but wont protect the screen on impact probably as the extra added 1mm thick glass would protect more but then again the last time i actually dropped phone was back in the day when i had Nokia 5210 and thats like 20 years ago and i used it for as long till the 4G phones come out

Most likely yes, but not accessible for the average person.

"Also would that mean that the budget to middle class phone just have cheaper antennae ?"

Yes, and the reception depends on the chipsets too.

"I will most likely have the phone in the case anyways."

Same, but what I prefer and thus use, are the types of cases that don't cover the sides of the phone, there is no need to protect that anyways.

"..that antennae line can make the phone no so durable and be bendable if these be like in the middle and then be a weak point."

That's true, that can happen, has happened before, but it shouldn't happen, and doesn't always happen. On the other hand phones with plastic sides are less durable everywhere, not just where the antenna lines would be on a phone with metal sides.

Also would that mean that the budget to middle class phone just have cheaper antennae ?
Also i would think that when you need the antennae lines then that restrict you in the phone inside where you place the antennae as they cant place it in everywhere cause that antennae line can make the phone no so durable and be bendable if these be like in the middle and then be a weak point. There can be a lot of argument.

I dont really care for the material on the phone is it metal or plastic as that is not something i look for when i buy a phone. I will most likely have the phone in the case anyways. Like i have now in the case the F5 come with. Also i am waiting my wooden case that i ordered from aliexpress like few weeks ago. I would of went with nilkin but it was too expensive for a case. Something 10 euro plus shipping and the shipping was over 10 euro. I got a 4 euro case that had wooden back but i picked it cause it had the side gripp texture that i wanted so i dont much care is that back or it wooden texture or not. As most cases dont have the side gripp texture and it was only like wooden back or the nilkin case

I think he just meant, in general, if so he is partially correct, if he didn't mean it like that, then he is completely wrong. Either way, it doesn't make much sense, reception depends on way too many things, to just say that plastic is better, especially because usually high-end phones have better reception, which have metal frames.

Glass sandwich and metal frame where are glass holds heat well and also amplifies it in under direct sunlight.

Also if you talk about having a case then that will drap the heat even more in your phone
