user, 10 Aug 2024updated to 1.0.7.0, they fixed the miui or oem's apps,... moreOk, 3 days ago I got the same update (1.0.7.0, Global version), and I haven't noticed any of the issues you mentioned. Battery life is better than before, a lot better actually, and the power button vibration issue is not there at all. It seems that you need to do a reset of your phone, or at least reboot it a couple of times.

updated to 1.0.7.0, they fixed the miui or oem's apps, the environment is much cleaner, organized - not so many bloated apps, but they did cancel option to choose only 2G, I can switch between 5g(+ others) and only others. when touching unlock button, it always vibrates, can't turn off vibrations, I'm so pissed because of these two things, and also battery drainage is increased by roughly one day since this update, very big mistake of updating..... hopefully will come hyperos 2.0 next spring or summer, but I do not expect miracles, it's gonna create more problems I guess

Antenna is terrible compared to my older Xiaomi. I have more lag, my internet stops in tunnels where as my older one could maintain it. This gets overseen and not tested, so could be something they save money on?

Keep on MIUI 14.0.8.0 or update to HyperOS 1.0.6.0? I just bought the F5, I've been looking at the posts since January and there are a lot of complaints about the battery life of version 14.0.8

I have an issue where I got notified late when I received a new message on Whatsapp. No popups either. I think it's a bug from the new update cause I've never had this issue.

For real, we no need so many OS version, just like Windows OS, we just need a stable OS with patches. Yes, unlike Windows, you cannot install IOS and Android on any smartphone directly, because there is no standardized hardware and IOS and Android is still growing to become a stable OS like Windows. Suppose consumer should not involve with this war, but thats it, even the war happen on Android camp where each brand is customizing very deep on Android OS just suited for their smartphone taste.

The dumb system to make people upgrade to new phones cause the apps lose support with old android version even tough phones hardware is good enough to last over 10 years
I also have this phone and have no issues and it was very worth buying it a year ago on release week. I would not buy it today cause it's over year old and cause it will have only 1 OS update left. I would go with X6 Pro for now as it has 3 OS updates coming and will end on Android 17. Even tough there are rumors that it heats up but i dont know the conditions on where it happens. Being under direct sun all phones heat up or when you play games and have charger behind the phone then the phone will heat up more. Heavy tasks make heat on every phone if you go to the limits so i dont know what people complain about that.
Same with battery life. for me my 8/256GB F5 last 5 days without charging but i am not using the phone a lot too. Reading for hours comics trough it then the phone wont heat up at all. I dont play games on a phone so i dont know the heating issues or battery lasting.
Even this site battery test are bogus cause they do other tests probably on the same time when they get like 24 hours less time on stand by then i get with my phone

Which one wou... moreIf performance dont matter for you as you wont be playing games then why you look for the X6 Pro ? Go with the X6 that have 3.5mm jack for headphones as for the music is better with wired that you dont need to worry that your wireless battery will deplete out of the blue.
Also there is no point to go with F5 now when it has only 1 OS update left. X6, X6 Pro and F6 will have 3 OS updates and 4 years of security. X6 is under 300 euro and is with SD 7s gen 2 that is enough for social media and all you do with the phone. Cameras should also be ok even tough should not expect something great from cameras in Poco series that first priority is performance

Mlem, 15 Jul 2024Is this still worth it?I believe it is, yes. Its Android version update cycle will end with Android 15, but changes in Android version updates have become marginal anyway, so having a very fast phone with all the other benefits it has (read the GSMarena review) seems like a good option. Especially now that its price has gone down significantly. Personally, I don't have a single issue or problem with this phone, and I consider myself an advanced user.

You can go for F6 as well but it only has 1 year warranty.
