Like just cause you have no experience in a well you live in dont mean that is the world. iFix it is a movement as there are shet load of people who want to fix on their own their own devices. Also there are loads of people who want to fix their phones and keep using them. Modern flagship phones perform already so good that there is no point to change to new phone even after 10 years of use. So battery change be enough.
My mother for example would fix her phone even if it cost like onluy20 euro less then a new phone. Well her problem is also that she wants small phone so cant even buy new phone as these are all too large and 200 euro for her is already too much to pay for a phone so she use her Samsung A41 as long as it works and probably take it to a fix service to change battery too if the time come.
I have lots of friends in their 30s and 40s that didnt get their first touchscreen phone before like 2015 year

Most will just sell the phone and get new one here, except for well, maybe myself.
Y? Because I know how to flash a custom ROM and continue on getting updates (both with Android itself and security).
Most people won't be happy with just getting security update, but they always want new things (especially for younger people, it's 2024 and not early 2000's)

It should be a COMMON sense that battery won't last that long.
I don't know what world you're living in, but people here (except for old people) will just change their phone rather than bothering to change battery, and that's because there are many cheap phones available from many places.

I've a battery drain issue even when I'm not using my phone. I'm talking about 5-10% lost. Not sure if it's due to the latest update but I've checked on settings then found a lot of apps are running even when I've cleared all my recent apps. Doesn't matter if I turn on battery saver or not.

Master Blaster, 27 Oct 2024It's BAD and only 3 years of android updatesNot that bad, you will still have few more years before things stop working.
By the time it happens, your phone will be most likely dead.
Security updates? No big deal unless you are one of 5% rich people in the world (as hackers won't randomly pick a victim unless... you know they are mercenaries or paid by "some" authorities).
But you should always be careful NOT to open unknown links, because that's where most people screw their device up.

It was way before 7 years when it was used in Europe. I am one of the late one's who started to use online shopping. My first pages i used needed PayPal as the only method to pay and thats already like 8-9 years ago
And most people dont throw away their old working tech just cause there is new and better out there.
You dont understand this cause you have no experience in taking care of your things so you need to buy new headphones 3 times a year cause your things dont last long cause of your bad care and that is what you have made clear to us already.

I doubt most other people use a headphone that long ("suppose" you are telling truth, then you were just lucky).
I also doubt that Aliexpress has been used by Europeans back then.

I have 10 euro headphones from aliexpress and no issues with them over 7 years. But i cant say this is a fact as that is just how my things last when i take care of them

Then if I choose a higher grade, it costs more than mediocre BT headphone.
And a mediocre BT headphone sound is already good enough for me.
Deal with the fact.

Also i am not some audiophile too. I just forget to charge even my home over ear full cup BT headphones. Cause i also have wired headphones at home for my desktop pc.
And if you talk about that you use large headphones outdoors then even more i can't understand how does the cable break for you ? Like you use the cable for roping things or something ? I have even pair of Sony headphones that are like the cheapest in the shop full cup over ear and have lasted me something 25 years. Around same with some 10 euro Panasonics headphones that also around 15-20 years with 3 meters long cable. The only thing that break with these are the soft pads
You are not a person to say whine to me when your cable headphones last less time then BT. Like how are you so clumsy ? That wires break for you in less then a year ?

pl2rts, 11 Oct 2024It's nice advertising but the cost of a good BT headse... moreBy the way, mine is not small earbud.
Therefore, it has a large battery capacity that slight battery degradation doesn't affect much.
If I compare to frequency of breakage of cable, this BT one surly has longer life.
You seem like you haven't actually tried one, but whining things based on your belief.
Try to adopt things a bit especially if it ain't such a big deal.

pl2rts, 11 Oct 2024It's nice advertising but the cost of a good BT headse... moreI don't know for your case though my bluetooh one has better sound (perhaps because I always used cheap 3.5, because cable go bad easily).
on BT one, battery lasts like few days ~ a week for regular use.
Then I don't have to worry about cable breaking.
Broke cable on 3.5 few times verses BT headphone 1 / year = eventually BT one is cheaper in a long run.
Therefore, to me, lack of 3.5 isn't big deal (contrary to my belief in past).
