I would never buy anything with HyperOS again. TERRIBLE user experience with these themes and additional apps just to do vanilla things. HORRIBLE software on a very decent HW. Phone is fine they just screwed it up the OS. Also, many apps like Brave do not sync :'/

Bycott this xiaomi phones recently I bought Poco x6 Pro and I found battery drain issue please avoid this phone especially mi phones

Bing bong, 10 Jun 2024 is snapdragon 8s gen 3 better than snapdragon 8 gen 2?8s gen 3 cpu is slightly better than 8 gen 2, but 8 gen 2 GPU is stronger than 8s gen 3

i bought this phone on release day and have been using it as my main phone for almost 3 weeks now, i bought this to replace my broken poco f3.
what i like:
camera looks good to me, very sharp and clear photo.
performance is very good, and it gets very warm to hold (wuthering wave gets warm with high settings but good performance). i live in tropical country and currently the weather also a bit hot than usual.
charging speed, i love 90w charging, but the phone becomes quite warm after that.
what i dont like (compared to f3):
hyperos, i forget how much i hate the ads on miui last time, all the app have ads in them, music, video, file explorer, themes etc, you can disable it, but still i hate it.

Also in Redmi, the Pro has been a better choice than the Pro+ for the last two gens.

I like this phone more than Poco F6 Pro. It has way less weight and smaller width. Plastic back is better than glass. Glass always breaks.

I was then able to change icons but still when downloading icon packs it seems that there are issue with choosing a launcher as it says it cannot be done automatically. I will fiddle more. I am now wasting hrs to try to get a compatible live wallpaper, still not able... : /

POCO F6 Owner, 11 Jun 2024DISCLAIMER: Stop asking for 2024 phones to still get a preh... more1. "Detect presence". Just turn it off. Its a safety feature that automatically turns off the screen if you're not using it(i.e. tapping the screen) for more than 10 seconds.
that way if you doze off while watching tiktok, the phone would turn off and not just play whatever you are watching hundreds of times untill you wake up. another scenario is if someone stole your phone, if the screen is still on they can still tamper with it, but with this feature on it would turn off while the thief is running.
2. we're not using Apple, Icons are infinitely changeable.
3. You can disable it, and you did, so what's the problem?
these things you wrote are not even real issues this phone is currently having. you said you fiddled with it and got nothing, Welp looks like you haven't fiddled with it enough.
