JimmyTheGreatest, 27 Nov 2024If you use your phone scarcely, it may last more than 4 years.I use both phones extensively everyday, always charging them to 100% every night, and they still work even after 6 years with absolutely no battery bulge. They've never been serviced at all.
Heck, my uncle's ancient iPhone 6s Plus still works even after 9 years on its original battery.
Where exactly do you get the nonsensical conspiracy that phones are intentionally designed to implode after just 2-3 years? You probably play graphically intensive games 24/7 while plugged in, so your phones overheat often causing the batteries to degrade quickly and eventually bulge.

I've owned several phones and verify your statement is correct.
What dies first is battery even these manufactures claim that battery technology improved.

Stoon, 24 Nov 2024the design for the rear camera is utterly awkward !I think the real size of the cameras should be a lot smaller.
They seem to be trying to make the cameras look big.
I don't like camera bumps.

And i ... moreIf I had your requirements, I would definitely buy a dedicated camera instead, you'll save yourself a tremendous amount of headache. No matter how much you spend on a camera phone, it will die after 2 - 3 years, irrespective of how careful you're with it. Phones were intentionally designed to implode after some period. Lengthy software updates won't help when the battery bulge.

Lyuu, 21 Nov 2024You're looking at completely different balance phones.... moreI've had a Poco and a Redmi phones in the past. And i totally agree with your assessment. But i just feel things are better this year that entices you with supposedly better chips (with better ISPs?) and "better" cameras. One thing i mostly hate about my own experience and the countless reviews i have read is the dynamic range, white balance, contrast and skin tones could be better. The video stabilization also has that nonstop focus hunting.
If you take away everything else and focus on the chipsets and camera sensors which one would you pick: Nord 3, Poco F6 or a Redmi Note 13 5G?
Or go slightly up with Nord 4 or Pixel 8a?

A redmi is a 300$ budgeteer with a midrange chip and a focus on the camera first and foremost, with the build as secondary focus and anything performance third
A pixel is an old flagship with all the age and flagship status comes with
In short, it's up to you where you want the compromise to be here

DuLe, 20 Nov 2024Honor 200..Really? From what I read it has curved sides (which I despise) and updates are not as fast as say OnePlus or even Motorola.
