Have you guys seen tear down video of pocos including with this one?
What I appreciate about poco is that in general much easier to replace battery than other brands.

That being said, it might be better idea not to look at these numbers as they often aren't trustworthy due to many different conditions.

Strelock, 14 Oct 2024sd8sGen3 is a power hungry chip even other brands it gives ... moreI guess so.
Perhaps as for performance wise, it would have been quite much better if the manufacturer had absolute control over the chip & apps.
However, that would cause monopoly and loss of freedom.

sd8sGen3 is a power hungry chip even other brands it gives a ok-ish and backup hyperOS being the clown of optimization it's even lower...
honestly 7+Gen3 has some better usage results like performance is identical better battery etc sadly my options were gt 6t (curved screen ughh) and oneplus nord 4 which is now giving free light sabers after updates so imo if you are not into emulation just wait for a better 7+gen3 device instead.

Some other thing that is quite annoying in Android phones, is the screen time in "digital wellbeing and parental controls".
For example, if I use an app/game for 1 week, that app/game will appear in my screen on time chart (with X minutes/hours per day). But, if I delete that app/game from phone, all the screen on time for that app will be deleted from previous days. So, my screen on time from previous days will not show the correct time anymore.
And I don't understand why is this happening in Android phones. In iPhones for example, it doesn't matter if you delete an app/game, all the screen on time of that app/game from previous days will remain in the screen on time settings. In this way you will have a correct data (correct number of hours per day) in screen on time.

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2024I have a Xiaomi 13T and i set mine to Vivid mode, Adaptive ... moreI tried "Vivid" mode. Is very similar with what I am using now, "P3 color gamut" with default color temperature. But, in vivid mode, colors look little bit too punchy for me. At least when I try to watch Netflix. They look little bit unnatural in actors skin color.
I was hoping for something between "original color Pro" and "saturated".
Or maybe I am just too picky, haha.
"P3 color gamut" with default settings, looks closest to natural colors without being too washed out like "original color Pro" color scheme.

As info, I had also toggled on "AI image engine" settings. That means "super resolution" and "AI HDR enhancement". But, to tell you the truth I don't see too much differences when I am watching videos.

AnonD-1175487, 13 Oct 2024I don't understand the charging features on this phone... moreI have a Xiaomi 13T and i set mine to Vivid mode, Adaptive colours turned off and colour temperature set to Default. Tell me how that goes.

AnonD-1175487, 13 Oct 2024I have this phone for 1 week now. Not much to say about it,... moreNot all though.
Pixel phones button arrangements is the Power on top and the volunme button below that on the right side. OnePlus's setup is the power button on the right and volume buttons almost directly parallel on the other side. This is very inconvenient as you tend to hold the phone on both sides and you may accidentally trigger the buttons.
In my opinion from using Android phones (for a very long time) the best setup is the volume button on top then Power button below them - no physical fingerprint sensor rather face to unlock or a fast optical/ultrasonic one would suffice.

I don't understand the charging features on this phone.
In battery settings --> additional features, there are 2 options:
                    - speed up charging ("connect the supplied charger to speed up charging when the screen is off and battery is low").
                    - boost charging speed ("turn on to speed up the charging process. This feature will prioritize charging speed while ensuring your device's safety").
I toggle on both of them, but I don't understand why there are two options? Look similar descriptions to me.

Another point, can someone help me with a correct color scheme choice? Now I have "advanced settings P3 color gamut". I find it the best to my eyes. "Vivid" and "Saturated" options look like Samsung phones, with too much pop-up in colors. And "Original color Pro" looks too washed out (maybe this last option is the best in color reproduction, but no so good in watching videos or gaming).
So, what color scheme are you guys using? I think this question goes with every Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phones, as these color scheme descriptions are part of Hyper OS.

I have this phone for 1 week now. Not much to say about it, is great phone, taking into consideration the money (I paid around 380EUR for it, 12Gb/512Gb variant).

One thing is annoying me, but is not necessarily problem of this phone, but in general with Android phones. The power and volume buttons are on the same side. Many times I long press the power button when I pick up the phone (doesn't matter if it's left hand or right hand) and I activate Google Gemini. I mean, why don't Android phones have like iPhones power button on one side and volume buttons on the other side?
I understand that in past, when fingerprint reader was in the power button, it was better to have the power button lower. But nowadays, majority of phones have single tap/double tap feature to wake up screen, or raise to wake function, combined with in display fingerprint reader. So, no need for the power button to be lower.
Also, this problem occurs when I try to put a controller holder on the phone and game with controller. The controller holder hits exactly the power button of the phone, so I need to maneuver the phone to the far left because of this. I didn't had this problems with iPhones, as the power button sits higher on the frame of the phone.

Again, is not a minus of this phone, is just something that annoys me in Android phones.

J, 07 Oct 2024Having difficult time finding good review on comment sectio... moreI got to say, this smartphone is not a perfect one, just like any smartphone, even the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S series are not perfect. However, if you want something that is very high in value, then this might be one of the smartphone that you can consider. For me, as someone who has used iPhone and Samsung smartphone, this POCO F6 offer nearing performance, maybe just lack of more robust and better camera performance at more challenging scene, no wireless charging, no USB 3.1 Display Port output, no 5 years OS updates. Else, it actually offer nearing performance at a fraction of pricing, you can also get 512GB version, can be used for a few year without worrying about storage. HyperOS or MIUI might not be the best OS around, but it is not the worse, at least with my long usage, it is pretty stable despite having some small bugs

I'm seriously considering either a Nord 3 or a Poco F6. But I wanted to know:
                          1. Who does it better in terms of more accurate skin tones - both main and selfies?
                          2. Who does it better in dynamic range - w/ less overblown background?
                          3. Who does it better in night shots - no overblown highlights?
                          4. Which ultrawide camera's colours and sharpness is more consistent with the main camera?
                          5. Which one has a more natural, laid-back, accurate processing of photos - not much contrast or over-sharpening?
                          6. Which one has a more stable, better audio when recording video?

It would be even better if I can just flash a custom rom.
Usually, I'm alerted when the company makes it hard to unlock its bootloader (because it usually means they hide something on purpose).

Having difficult time finding good review on comment section other than people talking about spec sheet

From the camera sample I have seen Poco seem to have kept the "non-stop focus hunting" issue on their current F6 phones which is still very annoying.
But is there a way to actually stop it? or keep it to a very minimum?

With a Sony IMX 882 ("likely same" as LYT600) as its main sensor which one would appear better in terms of accurate colours (plants, skin tones, skies), consistent colours between the main and ultrawide lenses, much clearer stereo audio when recording video of any format and better low light: Poco F6, OnePlus Nord 3 or the Galaxy A54?
