My poco m3 shut down after I pressed reboot on 10 august 22,and didn't respond. Later My husband took it to service centre and somehow managed to on it. They told not to switch off my mobile. Otherwise it will be dead forever. My God now I think I am lying in the dead bed after buying this phone. Very troubling phone. It's More than 3 times.

Served me well for 8 months then started having dead boot issues.
It takes up to 10 days to "resurrect " depending on the battery level at the time of dying.
Can't recommend the device.

Overall it's not a bad phone but the Wi-Fi range SUCKS!! If you depend on the internet for your work and social apps you may want to reconsider or buy an extender.

The phone is already a huge problem for everyone who gets it. Just after using for 7 months with the stupid updates being send by the xiaomi. The phone just refuse to boot up properly whether by rebooting, powering off and up or even charge at all when off. The xiaomi company really did a great job producing these. No matter how u complain they won't change anything at all. Never will i cross path with any xiaomi products ever again. Better to check china products well before purchasing them or be a victim.

Did your phone have the deadboot experience before the update to the 12.5.4?
Want to know if I should update mine too, cos it just came out of deadboot after 15days and I'm seeing the update notice.

Tushar Arora, 18 Jul 2022I purchased my POCO M3 on 24th June 2021 via Flipkart and i... morei bought poco m3 last year aug.2021 . i prefered this phone because i was not having the need of high specs because i do all my needed works and stuffs in my laptop. one of my family member bought poco f1 (which was actually a great phone).so i thought poco m3 will be a good option for me. but now days these companies are making the os and hardwares in such a way, that they will perform best for 1 year (means till the warranty period ) and after that they will show these type of hard brick and dead boot like serious issues....
my poco m3 automatically restarted 5-6 times within this week.and i'm damn sure it is also going to be like others.

MNA, 16 Jul 2022My phone POCO m3 gone switched off, after battery low i tri... moreIt's not dead. Mine keeps doing that every few weeks so i leave the battery to completely drain which takes several days during which time i use my back up phone, then once the M3 can be restarted i use that again till the deadboot happens and then the cycle continues. It's been like that since the beginning of this year.

It will take about 3-7 days for a Poco M3 battery to completely drain. Best to leave it for a full week before trying to recharge and switch on.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2022Hello, did u experience the deadboot previously or you jus... moreMine already has been through this three times, first time I let the battery drain completely (around 14 hours without charging it), then charging it and pressing the volume down and power button and the same time and the screen popped like normal. Second time I went to a local and they told me it was a short circuit or a malfunction of some hardware in the phone and apparently it was solved; both of these times occurred when I restarted the phone. however this last time I had to restart it because the camera produced an error and the phone didn't reproduce any video or audio of any kind (YT, TW, downloaded music, etc.), and of course, it went dead again, but this time none of the button combinations seem to work and I can't go and spend $30 every time the phone decides to shut down. I went to an official Xiaomi shop in a plaza around here and they told me maintenance can't be done since I bought it online.
Maybe if you can manage to open the back of the phone (which was pretty hard for me), carefully detach some part (maybe the battery too) and assemble it again maybe it will boot up. I recommend doing a backup as soon as you can get it to work again.
Finally, if someone is considering on BUYING this phone, just don't do it, this dead boot problem is VERY COMMON and it's just not worth it, it would be a great phone if it worked normally without this kind of issues, you're better buying a redmi or oppo.
