For those who have deathboot after update, this is my experience. I started updating my Poco M3 to 12.5.6 version few hours ago. After downloading and installing MIUI update, phone asked me to restart, which i did. Phone turned off, but wouldn't start up (no signs of life at all, just black screen). There was no reactions to normal or long (30+ seconds) holding of the power button. Therefore, i entered fastboot screen (hold power button and volume down key at the same time until it pops up). Then i pressed again power button and volume down key at the same time, fastboot screen disappeared and phone started, with Poco and MIUI logo, and then update bar with percentage showed up. After update to 100%, phone again turned off, and wouldn't start up. Then i hold power button until phone normally started, and showed a message that MIUI is successfully updated. Phone work fine now. So, before you give up on your phone, or send it to repair, try this, maybe it will help. Good luck!

This Poco M3 is a defective model. It has a "black death" issue wherein it turns off suddenly and would no longer be turned on. Xiaomi does not want to take responsibility for its manufacturing defects. Thousands have been victimized with this phone in the Philippines.

K so im a survivor on the poco m3 system update and now after reading all these comments i became so guilty of being a survivor:/

Such a terrible device to have in this price range. Lagging,stopping apps while runnings is common in this device. With previous update , the phone display vanished and have to sent to service center for repairing. Current update didn't resolve anything except making interface more attractive without any increment in performance. A big "NO" to this phone. Gives feeling of using old phones of Q mobile.

The xiaomi software updates completely ruined a good phone. The last update didn't solve the problems.

This phone frustrates me completely. It has a terrific battery, makes beautiful photo's, has a brilliant sound but.....almost non of the apps I install functions as it should.

Really like this phone. Had it for quite a few months now, like half a year or so. It never has lagged or had any issues at all. Really fast and has awesome battery, good speakers and great screen.
This is my second Xiaomi phone, I cracked the screen of the first one (after i dropped it 100 times), this one came with a plastic case which has protected it well.
Don't get the negative reviews, this is the best phone I have tried, especially for a good price like this. Most likely the software updates have made it this flawless.
I recommend it for sure!

I had some issues where the phone would suddenly restart on it's own but it is now fine, also the return button would sometimes lag and later it will spam itself. Overall its a great phone. I upgraded last may from a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

This is a good phone, but there are some issues that can be corrected after updates, such as MIUI 12.0.11 or MIUI 12.5.

Not everyone will get their phone repaired like mine so i don't recommend buying it, and i also didn't expected that company will repair my phone like this, also i previously had the global rom but now i have the Taiwanese rom in my phone, replaced by the company.

Hey everyone, i just wanted to share my experience with Poco m3, i bought the 4+64gb variant in August 2020 but in November the phone got dead, i gave them to the service center here in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. After 2 weeks i got my phone back with imei changed and also upgraded to 128 gb.Now it's been 2 months since i have received my phone and it's working fine no deadboot whatever even if you restart it, or drains it battery full it still power on without any problem, rn it has some minor lag and bugs in the latest miui 12.5 and i hope the company will fix these in miui 13 which will come to Poco m3 in May 2022. Thank you, I don't recommend anyone to buy this phone, i was lucky in my case that i got it repaired

It tooks 4 days to me. after that press ON button 13 second, if the battery logo came out in short moment it is a sign your pocoM3 should be ok again. Just connect charger and after sometimes press ON button 13 second again. Battery logo will appear and charge until full.

Deadboot issue after update. Holding power button for 30 seconds do no work. When it fully drains out, only then it shows the battery charging prompt. Doesn’t come up at all. Please suggest any work around. Any support from xiaomi? If not, this is going to be my first and last phone of xiaomi

For all guys who complain about "deadboot" issues. Most likely, the phone you bought is an early batch of manufacture, which is 2020. I just bought this phone yesterday, the MIUI is already on version 12.0.8 and I immediately updated to version 12.0.10 and guess what happened? all went well without any problems. Don't be afraid to buy this phone, my advice before buying is, pay attention to the batch of manufacture. You can see the date of the batch of manufacture on the back of the box with the characteristics of the year and month of manufacture. hope it helps, thanks for this phone xiaomi!
