Bought this Poco last year in Dec 2021. Lasted 2 months before encountering deadboot after MIUI 12.5.5 update. Had to wait around a week before starting it up again. Now I've unlocked Fastboot mode and still waiting for 168 hours unlock before I could flash with stock rom. Seriously, Xiaomi don't give an ass about this phone and you need to be aware of this issue beforehand.
Avoid this like the plague.

Bought my Poco M3 around June 2021. At first, it was alright. After a few weeks I always had to refresh/optimize it because it would lag if I open 4-5 apps at the same time. Another issue was the very weak wifi range. 3 months later, the performance became really slow. But since it was a $160 tops phone, I didn’t really think much about it. A week ago, I was using tiktok just fine, when I tried to open Youtube - it did not open. It was stuck on the logo with white background. I tried to open facebook, messenger, instagram, and chrome but it wouldn’t open. I tried to optimize it for a couple of times but I still couldn’t open the apps. I turned off my data - still nothing! I waited for 5 mins. but I still could not open the apps. SO I REBOOTED IT... IT DID NOT TURN ON AGAIN! I pressed the start button for 15 secs. - nothing, not even the blinking battery icon that signifies that the battery is drained. I could not turn it on for 3 days. It would also not be detected by the computer. The screen was just black! I just bought a samsung... never gonna buy from POCO again. By the way, this happened a few days after it updated.

first and last i buy this rubbish smartphone brand. pocoyolo rubbish brand!! nightmare came as i update to android 11 12.5.5, deadboot issue arise.. open back cover and remove battery clip, put back and it's turn on again. after latest update 12.5.6 it deadboot forver!!!! you can't turn on phone anymore whatever you done!!! thrust me all m3 will facing deaeboot soon. just wait your turn!!!!

Phone 5 month old after update , it was hanging , apps were found operating itself. tried restart, turn off and didnt wake after. Service center rejected , said phone dead. struggling with warranty poor response. dont buy this phone.

disappointed, this is the worst phone i haver used , when you restart or shutdown, and never turn on , u must hard reset to turn on or change the processor or something... don't buy this bullshit

I tried all the things given on internet but didn't turn on. Not detected by computer also. I took to the company service center and found that hundreds of users are in trouble with the same issue. The officials did not take responsibility and demanded money for repairs.
One issue I suffered if the very weak WiFi reception.
Certainly not recommended to buy this phone.

For those who have deathboot after update, this is my experience. I started updating my Poco M3 to 12.5.6 version few hours ago. After downloading and installing MIUI update, phone asked me to restart, which i did. Phone turned off, but wouldn't start up (no signs of life at all, just black screen). There was no reactions to normal or long (30+ seconds) holding of the power button. Therefore, i entered fastboot screen (hold power button and volume down key at the same time until it pops up). Then i pressed again power button and volume down key at the same time, fastboot screen disappeared and phone started, with Poco and MIUI logo, and then update bar with percentage showed up. After update to 100%, phone again turned off, and wouldn't start up. Then i hold power button until phone normally started, and showed a message that MIUI is successfully updated. Phone work fine now. So, before you give up on your phone, or send it to repair, try this, maybe it will help. Good luck!

This Poco M3 is a defective model. It has a "black death" issue wherein it turns off suddenly and would no longer be turned on. Xiaomi does not want to take responsibility for its manufacturing defects. Thousands have been victimized with this phone in the Philippines.

Such a terrible device to have in this price range. Lagging,stopping apps while runnings is common in this device. With previous update , the phone display vanished and have to sent to service center for repairing. Current update didn't resolve anything except making interface more attractive without any increment in performance. A big "NO" to this phone. Gives feeling of using old phones of Q mobile.

The xiaomi software updates completely ruined a good phone. The last update didn't solve the problems.

This phone frustrates me completely. It has a terrific battery, makes beautiful photo's, has a brilliant sound but.....almost non of the apps I install functions as it should.

Really like this phone. Had it for quite a few months now, like half a year or so. It never has lagged or had any issues at all. Really fast and has awesome battery, good speakers and great screen.
This is my second Xiaomi phone, I cracked the screen of the first one (after i dropped it 100 times), this one came with a plastic case which has protected it well.
Don't get the negative reviews, this is the best phone I have tried, especially for a good price like this. Most likely the software updates have made it this flawless.
I recommend it for sure!
