I'm going to buy it as a gift, but I'm worried about issues related to bugs and design/build.

Lol, 30 Jan 2021Lol joking? Score 665 far more better then 662 lol. Blind? The Mi A3 had the 665 and a 720p screen and games stuttered on high settings, can't imagine the 662 in full hd.

Mtk G80 is much better than sd662/665. Sd can't handle full hd screen effectively.

If you really want stock Android, you might look for Motorola G9 Power, but that phone only has HD+ screen, and also single speaker, then is more expensive.
The similar Lenovo K12 Pro, which is clone of Motorola G9 Power, however is just a bit more expensive in my country than Poco M3 for 128GB version, but I can't say the same for Lenovo since Lenovo has very bad reputation on their smartphone UI, which can be very different than Motorola.
All in all, at this budget price point, not much choice you can choose from.

It would have been a entry level perfect phone with stock android considering that the miui is full of bloats and not optimised enough for low end phones

Why don't you direct go buy something that has at least SD720 and SD732?
Or, you can search for SD845 smartphone such as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, that trump all SD720/Redmi Note 9S or Redmi Note 9 Pro, trump SD732/Poco X3, and all those pretentious Realme 5i, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Poco M3?

Realme Selfie also good and support 4K video
With Snapdragon 665
U know Snapdragon 665 score higher then Snapdragon 662
Poco has 48mp camera but not even support 4K video recording
Poco has 6kmah battery well just worst drained too much
Realme 5i 5kmah only still long lasting haha
Redmi note 8 also got problem with battery
Redmi note 9 also lag and hang alot

Sd 665 can play cod/genshin/fifa without no lag

i bought it for my mother, she uses it only for calls and sms, on occasion some pics and NO apps. nothing else! for this kind of use, she says, she has 2-3 days of battery, no lag, no problems with heating and good performance. its perfect for her. like plenty of you said,
if playin games or you are heavy app user, you need to spend more money to be satisfied and not complain, when is not good enough!
i payed 79.90 euro for new phone , you cant go better than this!
so please stop whine about how many problems you have and buy a better phone, what did you expect for 100 euro???
