normlauser, 04 Feb 2021is it worth it upgrading to m3 from redmi note 7 ? i dont h... moreredmi note 7 is faster than poco m3 but not too much, only a little bit. but the camera is worse, even with HDR selfie against no HDR selfie. actually whole redmi class 7 and class 8 have bad camera. redmi class 9 is finally with good bright camera, probably a lesson learned from huawei. poco m3 is also similar and good althogh without HDR. battery is outstanding.
my advice, if you can, try poco m3 before you decide, borrow it from someone for a little while, try it, feel it. :)
poco x3 is superior, I dont like only the look of the phone, but if you like it, go for it. :)

Even upgrade to Redmi Note 9 Pro and Poco X3 also is not a big upgrade.
You should pick something that has flagship processor, such as Mi9T Pro, Xiaomi Mi9, or Xiaomi Mi10T.

is it worth it upgrading to m3 from redmi note 7 ? i dont have problem with my current note 7 4/128. I just got pretty good deal from my friend. it cost me like 50 or 75 $ to if i go for M3 and 100 to 130 if i upgrade to X3.

This phone already far exceed the expectation.
Ok, this is not flagship, but on paper, it almost got everything.
This is a big and heavy phone, just like those big smartphone out there, not easy to single hand handled.
Build quality is very good, the back of the phone is faux leather. Camera is good at this class, not flagship grade.
Dual speaker and big battery is real.
GPS and mobile data signal is surprisingly good and fast, never disconnected.
Only weakness is cannot run heavy games properly, not very smooth, need to lower down the graphic, but playable.
Also the WiFi connection is bad, need to have WiFi extender or very close to WiFi router.
My unit also runs a clean MIUI without any ads, which can be fully disabled. Many bloatware can be uninstalled, and I have no complaint either.
Recommend for those who want a simple Android smartphone with heavy long usage, but not recommend for heavy gaming.

Get that instead of this one, or direct pay a bit more again for Poco X3 with SD732.

this phone would be perfect with snapdragon 675 as redmi note 7 pro and selfie as redmi note 9 with 13MP HDR and panorama.
