Mike Coxlong, 07 Oct 2020Thanks. Remember there's millions of satisfied Poco X3... moreThanks for reply. As no-owner, my opinion about phone is overly positive. No need to discuss this offer for the price and real life cons I see as not dealbreaking. There are few more phones coming I'm checking too so yet taking little time to see which one to grab.
As for phone laggyness reported by some users, I'd say if they 'bake' software for the new SoC little longer and update later it could be significantly better. (even though I had my doubts bout this SD+high refresh) Alternatively I'd consider try custom ROM after some time.

Mike Coxlong, 07 Oct 2020Thanks. Remember there's millions of satisfied Poco X3... moreThat seems a lot of praise for this little monster but what makes you ridicule the other one .
Realme 7 pro is neither a downgrade nor an upgrade in a real sense.
In 6 pro you will get high refresh rates and a 2x optical zoom but yeah thats missing on 7pro. Yeah not to miss plastic body on 7pro. But do you know what you are getting on 7 pro .
The 2x cropped image on 7 pro is equally better as compared to the optical 2x of 6pro.
For hrr you are getting an amoled display . Burns , tints etc etc is nothing but a thing of past even the apple have oled displays and every major manufacturer have ditched this ips and embraced the oled tech for reasons .
Coming to the processor nothing is outdated they are almost identical in performance.
Realme os is miles ahead in terms of optimisations .
Even though realme 7 pro has 4500 mah battery compared to x3 it still manages to beat x3 in screen on time due to better optimizations and amoled display .
Even the gaming mode on 7pro is one of the best compared to poco.
Whats good in x3 .
Great sound thats in 7 pro also with better sound enhancements.
Great battery but 7 pro beats it .
Huge display ok 7 pro has 6.4 but thats an amoled
Great processor but 720g on realme is on par not on paper though.
Great camera but 7 pro has better image tones and natural looking results compared to warm tones on x3.
33 watts flash charge oh but hold my 65 watts thats what realme says .
Great front camera but relame beats it there also .
So what does poco offer
NFC ok
Big punch hole display ok
Dynamic high refresh rates up to 120hz where in you cant force it on every app but the phone decides where to use 120 hz and where to not. Like you can browse menu on 120hz but opening a YouTube app will drop it to 60hz . Above all its not fluid but stuttering.
Tiny notification led
Yeah 960 fps slow mo videos
Wonderful vibration motor which provides amazing haptic feeback on a device full of lags even in the settings or just try adding a new contact and you will see it.
Great video cam features and one of the best is the video editor which many will praise but i dont think x3 has enough to call itself a king or better than the outdated 7pro as you said .
If you go by the points
7 pro Nd x3 both score an 8 outta 10 .
Its you who has to decide between a high refresh rate gimmick or an amoled .
Remember the fast charging speeds on x3 drop if you are using the phone also not a case with realme .
Yeah if xiaomi will provide some updates to fix issues the device will get better as i have said before .
But one thing is evident the chipset cant handle 120 hz refresh rates.
Even xiaomi has a great track record the thing they call updates which they promise to fix things bring more and more bugs with them . Every new update comes with new bugs.
But yes poco has a different fan base so does realme .
You might have seen million users of poco but did you hear them all a good amount of people online are complaining about the lags on this mobile and check the reviews on YouTube they are evident .
Both devices are good in their own way and none of them is better than the other .
Where x3 is a bulky one realme is lighter .

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2020Your review is among more positive ones here. So I wonder w... moreThanks. Remember there's millions of satisfied Poco X3 owner. Of course there's going to be a bad experience from a small group of people. I have 5 friends who changed to Poco X3 and couldn't be happier. To your question, I personally haven't had any screen flickering issues on 60 or 120hz screen. I asked my friends and they also haven't had any screen flickering or any other issue. They are all happy with their purchase. I checked the Facebook page and from online retailer review section and I can't find the complain as well. Although my other phone, LG V50 had a screen flickered when I open camera app but only for a few second which maybe caused by screen banding.
If you're on the fence on your purchase, I say go for it. Its $190 during online sale and $210 in a walk in store. And you're getting a lot of phone for your money. The best feature I'd say is the quality of the stereo speaker, battery life and the screen. You'll also get an IR blaster and a 30W fast charging. The processor is no slouch either. It scores 300,000 in antutu v8. The camera is great as well especially the video stabilisation and zoom smoothness. It has a toggle now that zooms smoothly. Still jittery and not iPhone level but still great. Remember, you're getting all of this for $200. The new Realme 7 Pro is a downgrade from the 6 Pro, Oppos, Vivos use an outdated processors, and the rest is double, triple or like 5 times the price and you still won't get the exact configuration as Poco X3. The cons, I'd say amoled screen would be better, but at least IPS LCD wont suffer from burn ins, yellow tints, green tints, huge black dead pixel spots and many other problem that AMOLED is known for. Also theres a subtle ads within Xiaomi Miui but its not exclusive to Poco X3 so it doesn't count. Some people complain the size or the weight is too much, but not me. 6.67' is a norm these days and the great 5160mah battery alreadymakes up for the weight. That is all the cons i can think of. This phone single handedly killed it's competitor and the sub $200 used phone market.

Fahd , 06 Oct 2020Yeah i hope that Xiaomi fixes this issue with the updates .... moreIDK what Xiaomi has done but ever since MIUI 10, they nuke the memory like hell when the phone stays idle for too long. I myself never liked that, made a feedback since MIUI 10 (Mi5) and the issue still exist on Poco F1, and now my X3. Every morning, only 4 apps remain from recents, ridiculous.

KondriX, 02 Oct 2020Yep, I know.. Anyway thanks for the answer. How is the battery? I don't have any complaints about the battery. Using youtube 90% of the time, it's much higher battery life since the adaptive refresh rate is always set to 30fps compared to the battery runtime when locked to 60Hz.

Update: Screen is flickering on (default settings) Auto Colour Scheme (Settings > Display > Colour Scheme)... Screen is flickering in both refresh rates, 60 and 120... You can resolve this by changing colour scheme to Standard... But your feedback is very important

@New-Old-user
The same. No complaint about it at all?
I'd like to get the clear idea if the phone's simply laggy on 120Hz or it's user specific. (likely while some heavier usage then) Personally been waiting for this feature to be in more phones and I'd like to keep it turned on. Thus wanna know.

Hello Poco X3 NFC users, I hope you fine... My screen is flickering at minimum level of brightness only on some apps... When you open App drawer (default Poco launcher and default theme selected), screen is flickering at minimum brightness... Same when you're in Facebook app login page... Gul, 06 Oct 2020well man this sucks and i feel bad for you since i am plann... moreYeah i hope that Xiaomi fixes this issue with the updates .
Earlier poco x2 had the same issues and we know 730g processor is not capable to handle 120hz displays... Coming to 732g there is not much of a difference between the earlier 730g and this 732g ... I guess even if they provide the updates the stuttering and lag will remain .
I have kept it on 60hz so far no lags and no slow downs except for sudden freezing and hanging ...
That's manageable as long as you are not doing something important ...
In case you are planning to buy this device
Look for realme 7 pro but you will have to compromise on high refresh rate display and hdr 10 support ( not sure if realme 7 pro has it )...
But you will get super amoled display, 65wats charging tech, always on display and yes a light weight phone than that of x3 (215gms). (7 pro 182gms)
720g and 732g are almost same with minor differences but in real you won't notice any difference .
If you will ask me about this device ...
It ain't a bad device but i guess its a half baked one and with some updates it will only get better ... Its powerful and a strong device in this price segment which will give sleepless nights to its competitors .
I love its sound quality and the haptic feedback engine but the device is way too bulky due to this 5160 mah battery and polycarbonate material used in it.
The worst i am facing with this device is the applications don't remain in memory .. a max of 4 to 5 apps will remain in memory and rest will reload .. worst ram management ever in any device after realme 1 ....

After using this phone for about a month
Pros:
1. Its only $190 - $200 for 6/64
2. Speaker is on par with iPhone 11 Pro Max, its louder and have more bass but 11 Pro Max is a bit clearer. On full volume its back panel vibrates to simulate Boombox feature like in LG G7, which enhances bass when you put in on a flat surface. Really nice.
3. 120hz screen is nice but ultimately useless feature. I like the eye candy but turn it off would give you extra 1-2 hour of SOT.
4. I'm constantly getting 13-14 hour of SOT with 60hz and 10-11 hour SOT with 120hz. Very satisfied with the battery life. 30W fast charging is really nice as well.
5. The IR sensor is nice, very useful for me.
Cons:
1. Now any sub $200 phone feel cheap and outdated when compared to this. Price to performance wise, no other phone is worth to buy. I'm not going to spend $400 or $500 just for a faster processor. Poco X3 already checks all the list.
2. The dreaded POCO logo is hideous but I can live with that.

Fahd , 05 Oct 2020No the unit is not faulty.. Same issues with 2 other device... morewell man this sucks and i feel bad for you since i am planning to buy this device soon..instead of note 9s (6/128). so any recommendations..on 120hz x3 should run smooth af with 732g. Maybe with some updates in coming weeks it settles normally..Xiaomi would know about it. and if you can what variant you have man? 6/64 or 6/128?
