they sacrificed the 4k video recording for 1080p for 5g because of the snapdragon 695, they sacrificed the 13 megapixel ultrawide for a 108 megapixel main camera, 8 megapixel ultrawide and 2 megapixel macro. all of that literally got slapped out of our hands because they used a chip that has 5g, holy crap how much are we getting less because of this chip?!?!
i really dont like the snapdragon 695 5g, if you want 5g and a better reputation companies, forget the 695 5g, you label yourselves as flagship or mid range killers, just put a 778g 5g in the phone instead and you will get actual fans
they are removing 4k video recording and a few other aspects because they want 5g and 108 megapixel camera mentioned in their phone, but since qualcomm made it so that the chip has a cap of 1080p video, it performs video consistently bad and i guess the 695 is somewhat faster than the 732, idk but still i dont agree with the decision

The other way is by adding dedicated charging module which would cost more.

Even at 220$ ill not buy this one...if they put at least 778G it might have the chance in the market. Its priced the same as the old poco f3. I am happy with IPS panels. But the soc is way unacceptable.

Even if they release such a X3 GT with a 48MP, I can tell you it's not going to be € 30 cheaper to come close to matching the X3 Pro retail price, let alone it's sale price of € 200.
It wouldn't be cheaper if they are releasing a new phone anyway.
Also, if you look at Xiaomi new phone releases, they consist mostly of 108MP camera, meaning they bulk bought those 108MP sensor.
Buying more 48MP just for one phone would cost more than using the same 64MP sensor that they used for their most recent last three non budget phones, M4 Pro, X3 GT and F3 GT, they probably have plenty of sensor leftover since I doubt most of them is selling as well as the X3 Pro or F3.
Tech is been moving, it's like how while 8gb/16gb sdcard are cheap, they are almost double the cost per GB for just a few cents cheaper than 32GB/64GB.

2) I never said it should have an LCD. My entire point is that the OLED isn't the main cause of the pricing and performance issues. So why the hell would I say it should have an LCD? You did not read what I said.

trapper09, 02 Mar 2022Well to be fair, we should not put all the blame to Xiaomi.... more778g may be a downgrade in terms of absolute performance, especially the GPU, but overall it's more of a sidegrade because of higher efficiency, almost same CPU performance and 5g. Given camera sensor improvement its acceptable to use.
But 695 is just way too slow and unacceptable.

And whoever is "cannibalized", the profit ultimately goes to same company. Xiaomi got more important phones which like the upcoming Mi12 series which need more attention so one Poco eating another one is a non issue.

What stopped them using the 870? Or atleast the 778g??? From 860 all the way down to 695!
First they took away the micro sd card, you were silent
Then they took away the headphone jack, you said nothing
Now they taking away yearly processor upgrades, you suddenly wake up and now its out of your hand.
Yes I know x4 pro has headphone jack but I'm describing the overall trend in smartphone business.
The last point especially means that for the first time in smartphone history it's become widespread that buying a newer phone is essentially a downgrade in performance!
