For my region where both have official presence, POCO is the cheaper option, but mostly limited to online purchase, has a lot of flash sales, got bigger storage option to get. Redmi is cater for Xiaomi experience store purchase, more off the shelf smartphone shopping stock.
Of course, they are killing their own with 2 sub brands. For we as buyers, we are left with more choices to pick. I don't know it is good or bad for buyer, but I read somewhere from a business standpoint, it is actually beneficial to the same business itself since the brand try to penetrate all market segment with variety of products.

I guess that's one more point to me for my guess if it being a media device, I am starting to think it might last 4 hours on a 5 minute charge (15% battery est) for local playback of video at minimum brightness.

Poco X4 Pro 5G is the same phone as Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, so basically Xiaomi just killed 2 birds with one stone using the same specs and fooling its customers. They played the same scheme with other earlier Poco/Redmi models. It's all up to the consumers now if they like the Poco look or the Redmi look and which name they want to go with.

I think they're trying to widen the gap between the "F" series and the "X" series which honestly will push away the fans who made them successful in the first place.
They've become arrogant and hopefully maybe this will teach them a lesson.

That chipset will never use that camera to its fullest. The design resembles the M series. You're essentially paying more for worse epecs! X4, let alone the "pro" version, should be better in everything than X3 Pro, but as it's obvious, even the "pro" version falls behind X3 Pro.
I mean they're even throwing in a YT Premium for god's sake; they know it's not gonna sell on its own.

On this X4 the chip is better and the screen is OLED (which you might not care about, but most people prefer it over LCD).
Also the design is pretty subjective, and I personally like them both equally.
In the end, beside being cheaper, the X3 NFC doesn't have the edge in any territory compared to the X4 Pro.

Call it for what it is: A DOWNGRADE. I mean, even X3 NFC is better than this. They designed it after the M series and it's obvious the performance is in that range as well. The GPU (Adreno 619) is on Samsung A70 as well, and it does NOT perform well.
It's clear as day the intended to ride the success of X3 Pro and fool gullible customers into buying the "upgrade". Although I like my X3 Pro a lot, I don't think I'll buy Xiaomeme again because of such dishonest actions.

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2022When I talked about "crap" I was more referring t... moreThe most durable dongle type is most probably those tiny passive metal ones without any "wire" to connect the ends, kind of like those cheap type-c OTG or the micro to type-c adapter, one should probably avoid those L shaped as those will most likely put more stress when accidentally yanked.
Also with it being so tiny, you can keep it plug in to 3.5mm plug on the audio device all the time, it just add about 2 cm to the wires.
