Yamy, 03 Mar 2022Go s something with your old ass cpu . Even after 10 years ... moreDude do your research! SD765G/768G is just 1 year old not 10 years! It has better GPU, ISP & MODEM than the gutted SD695 with only cpu improvements while everything else is downgraded.
SD765G/768G was not widely used due to it being expensive at that time, right now it should be cheaper to use than the latest downgraded SD695.
Though it doesnt beat SD860 of X3 Pro which is a modified SD855+ without 5G, but it will help keeping the costs low & retail price be reasonable as a 5G phone. Should be instead called X4 only or NFC not Pro as an upgrade to X3 NFC that had SD732G chip.

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2022I agree that expensive fragile dongle sucks, but phone with... moreWhen I talked about "crap" I was more referring to dongles which all are very fragile and Bluetooth devices which have a set lifespan of around 2 to 3 years (alongside bringing a lot of other limitations).
Well, all of that to say that I'm not satisfied with any of the alternatives to the 3.5mm jack and I definitely won't compromise on that.

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2022Sorry, but I'm not willing to put up with a fragile do... moreI agree that expensive fragile dongle sucks, but phone without a 3.5mm port usually have built-in DAC so the cheapo passive adapter works too.
Also, I wouldn't call all type-c audio devices "crap", with digital signal means there should be no audio noise which is almost always presence when I use 3.5mm audio devices while charging, crappy type-c audio device does exist too though.
There is a feature that is define in the type-c spec for charging at 5V 0.5A with an audio adapter but who knows how well supported actually they are and the quality of such adapter (audio noise interference), not to mention for most new phones, 2.5W is hardly enough to actually charge too.
I know micro usb OTG spec is suppose to also support a similar feature known as accessory charging adaptors which allows charging and OTG at the same time but it's virtually non existent.
There is another method where one uses a fairly expensive type-c hub with PD, but that most likely required those expensive active DAC adapter if there isn't a built-in 3.5mm in the hub and it's bulky and impractical anyway.
There will probably be some person who says "just use bluetooth", there are bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter which is just as expensive and has limited run time if you want to keep using your current existing audio devices. but there also the bluetooth audio lag issue which sucks as well.
At least some poco phone speaker audio quality is fairly good, it's so good that those phones vibrates lol

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2022SD860 is 4G and dont have 5G option''The Snapdragon 860 can be configured with the company’s new X50 5G modem too (as an external chip) '' . 855 , 855+ , 860 support 5g with an external modem , first sd cpu with that modem build in was sd865 . They did not put 5g in x3 pro for cost reduction.

AnonD-940740, 03 Mar 2022xiaomi 11 lite 5g + DAC dongle or type-c earphone should doSorry, but I'm not willing to put up with a fragile dongle which blocks the charging port and that I have to carry with me everywhere, nor throw my audio devices to the trash in favor of USB-C ones.
Don't want to support that trend of removing an essential feature just to sell more disposable crap either, even if I guess it's too late.

Senn Lens, 02 Mar 2022Here's some comparison between X3 Pro and X4 Pro... ... moreIt's more of a successor to X3 NFC not X3 Pro. And even then it's a downgrade since it lost 4k30 video.

Would Make sense as just X4 5G not Pro 5G. If it could AT LEAST film 4k30 like x2 and x3, but failing that, i second all the WTFs in opinions alr8y voiced.

Can someone point me towards an other phone with better chip that ticks all of those boxes for around the same price? Otherwise I'm probably taking it.
- AMOLED screen
- High refresh rate
- Good battery
- Headphone jack
- Custom rom support
There was the A52S but since it's Samsung it's complicated custom rom wise, and the Realme GT Master Edition but still no custom rom either after 8 months of release, which doesn't leave me very hopeful.

They are just targeting different audience, it's not like the POCO X3 Pro will disappear and be unable to buy in any time soon, even the now bad POCO X3 nfc is still available
People who want a cheap gaming phone will buy the POCO X3 Pro and those who want an upgrade can get the POCO F3 or maybe F3 GT/F4/F4 Pro if it's available.
This phone is targeting a portable media device for people on the go, a somewhat decent performance but better display and maybe better battery life with very fast charge. I believe it be at least 1.5 hours watch time on a 5 minute charge near flat, I wouldn't be surprise if it's double that (3 hours).
They could have used another series name, or at least not call it Pro, they did it probably to mislead people since there so many good review on the X3 Pro and most people will just think the new 4X Pro will be better.

Ori, 02 Mar 2022What is the SD Card slot support size?Of course it's gonna be the usual micro sd card, there no company in the right mind would do standard full size sd card, mini sd card or the proprietary nano memory card.

trapper09, 02 Mar 2022Well to be fair, we should not put all the blame to Xiaomi.... moreThing is they just want to put 5G on it. They couldve oppted for SD765G/768G that have better gpu, isp(image processing) can record 4k + with support for OIS/EIS, modem(faster DL/UL). Cpu is slightly bettee on SD695 but since POCO is usually meant to be gaming/performance phone then SD765G/768G better!

Here's some comparison between X3 Pro and X4 Pro...
X3 Pro:
Pros
-Flagship chipset
-Value for money
-Have microSD and 3.5mm jack
Cons
-use LCD display
-Doesn't have 5G
-Plastic build
X4 Pro:
Pros
-Better camera
-Better screen
-5G support
-Premium build and design
Cons
-Downgrade processor from X3 Pro
You can decide which one is better for you. If you did like camera, better display, future proof (eg: 5G support) and doesn't care about performance, go for X4 Pro. But if you did like more performance instead without 5G built-in, go for X3 Pro.
