Go for Vivo or Oppo, they're basically a tad cheaper compared to what Samsung could offer on the price segment. Those are two solid brands nowadays for camera stuffs. Xiaomi's 14T/14T Pro also do much better if you are willing to flex your budget a little bit more.

I had similar problems in earlier MIUI versions. Setting up 5g wifi connection solved the problems. And til today i use this solution and no problems with internet lag or bt connectivity.

Had a Xiaomi before and with considerable better SOT (long time ago) so I did know what to expect to say at least. I use default dynamic refresh rate, did a bit of screen calibration including brightness and use dark mode and themes. When gaming or watching HDR video's I pop brightness up. Think it's on 6 GB VRAM setting. I use my old 24 W charger most of the time.
Thing is when you get a new toy you play with it a lot. When you settle down only then you can talk about your average use. For me with some gaming it's about two days of intermediate use so not bad. I can suck the battery out in under 5 h in let's say Super Mario Cart session on Dolphine but I doubt I will do a lot of such parties. Last HxUI revision for EU 12/512 model is 1.0.12.0 old only couple of days and with security patches only (small under 60 MB one) and two before it where similar. That's the same model used like in Notebook Check testing. Even camera in manual 64 MB mode managed to impress me (on a nice day with a good lightning) and I am not intu that.

ZolaIII, 22 Oct 2024You can increase VRAM and you want to use it on all do not ... moreIm alway using on 60Hz screen and 4gb Vram(considering add more gb) on, maybe I felt battery underwhelming becuz my previous daily driver was galaxy a54 which had about 1~2 hours more SOT but had horrible gaming performances(playing honkai star rail on 30 fps and everything else medium setting but frame drop was unbearable)...
Personally I think this phones battery is still okay for me, charging pretty fast too and heating during gamimg is not that alarming too...

ENTER0, 22 Oct 2024256/8gb version is also not bad tho, altho either game(usua... moreYou can increase VRAM and you want to use it on all do not necessarily at maximum and with 12/512 variant. What's important is they didn't skimp on RAM and NAND (and they didn't) with lower siblings. Arguably that's what differentiate this SoC from similar midrange currently in this segment.
Phone is fine with typical Xiaomi quirks and battery life is fine. Other than ads most annoying is BT audio disconnection bug which happens from time to time (you switch receiver on/off to reconnect) and that's about it everything else works fine of course things can get heating up when you push it really hard (15W DTP) and of course you're battery won't last long that way. In normal use with half good optimised apps you can expect about 10 h SOT doing whatever and about half of that gaming. Some better optimised games like Diablo or NFS will rise SOT to about 7 but such are rare to begin with. Xiaomi as usual isn't doing much if anything regarding device itself and last couple updates where security updates only.

llamadrama, 17 Oct 2024Would you recommend this phone? Does it allow Facebook and ... moreFacebook is pre-installed as well as a bunch of other Google Apps. You'd have to download Instagram from the Play Store. As for recommending this phone, it's pretty good for the price. If you play a lot of games on your phone, it will perform well at the cost of a fast battery drain. I don't have any major problems with it so far.
