Glad it's working fine and you are happy with it! Sounds to be a good phone indeed.
Just on the memory management thing - i recall that it was advised to lower/disable virtual ram since that wasn't handled well by older Pocos... Chinese fanbase gang could probably jump in with suggestions/experience, once they finish trolling in Samsung articles ;)

I have an old Moto G84 5G from last year and for a few months now. I'm thinking of replacing and trading it in for either a OnePlus Nord 3, this Poco X7 Pro or the Redmi Note 14 5G (Global).
Any suggestions or advice please?

Luke, 22 Jan 2025hey, many thanks for sharing your experience and observatio... moreHi man, happy to help.
I leave it connected to wifi. Data is toggled on, but as long as it has a wifi connection I think data is disabled. So wifi/cell service it is.
As per bugs... Hmm there are a few UI bugs that Xiaomi is aware and happens to other phones in HyperOS 2, so nothing big there. Video focus is fine in mine, no crashes, no heating, phone is good, but there's always some space for more optimization.
For example I've noticed is that RAM management is a bit too aggressive on the 8GB of RAM version, which is the one I have. Even with 3 or 4 GB free I get this behavior. I think the 12GB RAM variants are ok. Had to tinker with battery settings and app locking in recents to mitigate it but it is too aggressive still.
I sent feedback to Xiaomi about this and they said they'll be looking into it. I remember the same happened on a Redmi I had a couple years ago and they fixed with further updates.
Appart from that annoyance, nothing bad to say about this phone. It is very strong.

ashrobb, 21 Jan 2025Mine is around 3% overnight.hey, many thanks for sharing your experience and observations! Much appreciated!
A question: is that overnight battery drain of 3% in normal mode with data on (wifi/cell)? Or are you putting device in flight mode/battery saving mode?
Also - have you come across bugs of some sort? Video focus for example, sw crashes, anything that is worth mentioning?
Cheers!

That's why waiting a few months for this could be worth it. Like I said, excellent phone right now but with further price drops, it's a no brainer.

ashrobb, 21 Jan 2025There are so many upgrades in this one that I wouldn't... moreGalaxy A56 is not the competition for the Poco F series starting from F4 GT and from Poco X series starting from X6 Pro. For X series especially no competition cause the phone is anyways like 150 euro cheaper then the Galaxy A5x series. Poco F series price wise is same as Galaxy A5x series but A5x series give the middle class performance like 7s gen 3 at best.
That A5x series performance is like 7 years ago was very popular chip in every phone SD625 that then change to SD695 and now is all these 7s gen 2/3 Exynos 1480/1580

Just received mine yesterday. All I can say is this phone is belong to top drawer in mid range lists, could be entry level flagship if not the camera performance. HyperOS 2, same like previous version, full of bloatware and ads. So I have to manage it (uninstalling, disabling and everything) the whole night before start fully using it. The most impressive for me so far is the battery life. For casual usage, social media, messaging, a bit of gaming, I can get 25 hours with 30% balance. Trust me, if only I can attach the screenshot here.

You can always wait a few months for X7P to drop in price. There's some strong names coming in the next few months that will push it down due to fierce competition, like Galaxy A56 and the POCO F7 series.
