Kunalmzr, 16 Feb 2022Yes, I have the same Miui 12.0.3.0 (QEJMIXM). I never faced... moreHey, no need to be embarrassed about that lol, I'm a 33 years old married man that stills plays a lot since kid too, old gamers we are haha. And working at home office and since lockdown Poco F1 was my partner in gaming too, I believe this "addiction" is healthy to our mind to relax and not being crazy by having such hobby.

And yes I used to play A LOT CoD:M this last year too, I had recovered my account and played for hours too, that's why I was frustrated, since CoD and PES Mobile always run flawless in high specs, just now I'm getting this issue. I'm very sure it may be battery now indeed after testing it with/without cable, will change it soon.

Btw guess what when hard resetting just lost CoD account D: forgot to make all those steps to save account, google login and email register was not enough lol.

Anyway thanks for the tips! Will change soon battery and hope to keep it for more 1-2 years too, Poco is still a beast smartphone, better than many recent models, and would deserve more support from Xiaomi, but glad you have no issues after battery change in actual version.

Thanks!

Syrus, 15 Feb 2022Hey, yeah I thought about battery, since I have it for more... moreYes, I have the same Miui 12.0.3.0 (QEJMIXM). I never faced any issues at all. Runs well. Except it is heating up under direct sunlight using net and full brightness, which I guess is normal for any device.

And for gaming as I have said I played tons of COD:M in 2020 (full year)/2021 (may when I got the vaccine shot). You will not believe me when I say I played about average 10 hours per day during lock down for weeks which felt even embarassing to me as almost 40 years old guy.

I believe I have an addiction issue with that game and only way is to survive from it by not having it altogether.

Anyway since inserting the second battery I have not installed that game and no plan to play it altogether.

First, as I have said, I can't control myself.

Second, now Call of Duty game is under Microsoft, and except LinkedIn and 2 outlook accounts in gmail, I don't use any MS apps at all or preferred them.

As for you, 2 years is too good for Poco F1 battery. Many people ended up in one years and half. If your battery is good, then don't worry. But if possible, you can buy a new one in case if you want to use the phone another 1 or 2 years just like me. I am planning to use mine till end of this year as 5G network will available from end of this year. Then I will buy 2 different 150$ 5G device for home and office use.

Just taking cable out it start to drop fps and freeze, sometimes restart device automatically, and overheats. And putting cable back it stops lol. Seems buggy to me. With PES and other lighter games happens the same after a time.

I thought it was because MIUI since noticed many complains about this version in Poco F1 (12.0.3, yours the same??) and when stand-by and normal use (twitter etc) it won't drop and wont overheats, and very few % lowering. My problem is with games and I guess opening Camera too.

You think battery replacement will help? I was thinking about it, before trying to change stuff like ROM or whatever. I'm really in doubt if is the MIUI 12.0.3 because complaints or battery. Like 1 month before it was running perfectly.

      Ty for help!

I advice replace the battery, download the latest patch from your device and reset your device. Just like I did.

Now my device is doing great.

Hey guys, how are you dealing using Poco F1 with MIUI12? I'm having bad issues here, it was all working fine and games running with no FPS drops. Now it overheats and fps drops from nowhere.

Camera/videos are similar issues, and battery draining a lot. I saw it's about MIUI12. So dunno what to do, trying to factory reset and maybe try a ROM or something.

Any hints to recover performance? So sad Xiaomi abandoned such a beast smartphone, at least could give as stable version or rollback to MIUI11, when apps were all working fine and games at high specs with no problem.

Played a lot of Call of Duty Mobile in 2020 and half of 2021. Also used other apps. My original battery died in last month (January 2022). I bought another one from Amazon at 1250/ Indian rupees or 17$. Replaced it by myself and my phone is doing fine now. I will used it till next winter when I will buy another 5G Snapdragon device.

All my apps runs well like new. And I am not a gamer anymore. My plan is to use it for another 6 months after that I will add another device (actually I use 2 devices for last 10 years, but have to sold my device in 2020 to pay the EMI of F1) with it to decrease the load on it. 2 4G Sims and 2 separate places take up battery for sure.

Anyway, as for now there is no other Snapdragon 8xx series devices which are priced like Poco F1. But 2 good Snapdragon series are there.

First is Snapdragon 730/732G which is best for performance like poco F1.

Second is Snapdragon 695 which comes with 5g for future proof.

I will choose anyone of these SoC from Poco or Moto for sure.

Last month e.g. January 2022, my original battery died. I bought the phone in October 2019. And played a ton of COD mobile in 2020 and half of 2021 until the COVID 19 virus come.

Anyway I found an original battery in Amazon which cost me about 1250/- or about 17$ including shipping. But I have to wait for 10 days.

The wait is worthy. As I followed a YouTube step by step video and chenged my phone by myself which took me 1 hour as I was very very careful.

Now my phone is great like new. Idea is to use it for another 6/7 months and then bought another Snapdragon 5G device in 15000/- or 200$.

But yes, I am not playing any game as I am busy on two jobs now.

Took a chance and bought it via AliExpress shortly after release. Love this phone, not given me any troubles. Even when the battery became weak, I was able to change it myself. I honestly still don't have any justifiable reason to go for any new devices

Im inlove with this phone the best poco/xiaomi ever made!!

Seriously, poco f1 speaker is legit underrated. Its the only phone I tested that have clear bass output. my brothers s10 plus have zero bass, aside from his ipad 7th.
