I wonder how other manufacturers like Asus will respond?
If Asus lowers the 5Z price to ~$375, the Pocophone is ~$350 128GB vs 128GB, we could have some very interesting competition

I think nobody who can afford and appreciate a premium phone (S9+, Note 9, Iphone X, P20 Pro, etc.), will sell their devices or stop buying them for this Xiaomi phone. That's not gonna happen.
But for everybody else, this is a pretty good alternative. Xiaomi sends a real message to other manufacturers to come with better specs mid range devices for the same price. And that is good for consumers.

One thing only bothered me that even having plastic body why it weighs 180 gram..thats heavy..it definitely is a concern...plastic would be accetable if it was around 160

One more thing, this phone is on a $300-$400 price point. Stop winning about things you don't see in it. Go buy your Apples, Samsungs and OPPO's on the same price point then compare.
Before this comment gets taken down, I just want to express that this phone is truly amazing for the top tier $420 kevlar back.

If the phone does not get released in your country then you can import it from your friend from india or china..

amazing features. definitely the best.
few nothing to mention drawbacks that you can totally ignore when you see the price.. compare it to any phone in the same price range you would be sure its the best.
i hope they ship to Lebanon.
