Finally a no nonsense phone. It gives what truly matters.
Speed
Battery life
Better than average camera
Better than average screen
Robust network performance with latest tech
Latest bluetooth tech (with aptxHD)
Quick charge.
Designed like a phone
If you ask anything more than this then what u'll get is a lot much expensive phone which are already present in the market.
Just a combination of better screen and camera will cost you more 20K to 40K(INR) depending on the brand you go with.
Now waiting for a hands-on experience and hoping the specs are not just on paper.

SilentKiller97, 23 Aug 2018They have edit the actual endurance of that 4000mAH battery... more4000 mAh is enough for a day of high use (wi-fi, browser, games, calls, music, etc).
Most of the SD 845 smartphonesare only 3500 mAh.
But, of course, more the battery range the better.

Anyone can tell me why Xiaomi launch poco f1 while they have Mi8 with latest SoC ?
I mean the specs are almost the same, so is it not better to own Mi8 ?
Thx

Samath N8 808 owner, 22 Aug 2018Honestly, a little bit of a disappointment, although good i... moreRedmi 2 Prime is their entry level phone, and should not even compare to flagship and even mid range phone
You should own at least a Redmi Note 3 to realize what Xiaomi is actually capable of stealing market from Samsung even with just a low price phone.
You can't direct compare a smartphone with triple price different, then say the more expensive one is far better.
I own a few Xiaomi, and also a few Samsung. Definitely Xiaomi with later/newer model are as reliable as Samsung, and from day to day usage, it doesn't lose much caliber to Samsung phone, even at one third or half the price. Yes, only thing that not as good are the camera and video ability, which I mostly pass the job to the much more satisfying DSLR rather than a Samsung smartphone. For social media sharing usage, Xiaomi camera and video are more than enough.

Guigui, 22 Aug 2018I get that for Asia. But there gonna release it in Europe t... moreBefore NFC, there is the smart card/credit card/debit card/purchase card, which act the same as NFC. So, I can still pay without the NFC, not so hard to carry a smart card around, probably can put inside the smartphone flip case, which normally what people are doing in my country region.
But with recent NFC implementation, I think near future NFC will become the standard feature of a smartphone, just like WiFi/LTE/Full HD resolution.
Other reason NFC is removed is because NFC is still not fully materialize in most part of the world.
Of course, if NFC is important to you, then look else where.

This is way, waaaaay too cheap, it must be rubbish in some way or another. It has to have some tricks to make it be so cheap, must have some very low quality parts or something. Thats what I would call "worryingly cheap".

iqsy, 22 Aug 2018Is that mean the Mi series will be replaced by Pocos?Mi series will exist.
Mi Mix, too.
Pocophone is for people that want a flagship with latest SoC (Snapdragon 845 in this case) for a minimum price.
This smartphone will sell millions in a 3rd world countries!
And I think will be available in Europe too.
I am European, I have a mid-range Huawei with 3 years of use as my daily driver.
But I hope can afford Pocophone F1 at Christmas 2018.
It will be my first Android flagship!
I had only Nokia Symbians flagship in the past! lol

iqsy, 22 Aug 2018Is that mean the Mi series will be replaced by Pocos? No.
Pocophone is built to compete with Huawei Honor.
Xiaomi have 3 flagship, each with some variants.
Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and Pocophone F1.
Pocophone is the cheapest of them all.
The realest flagship killer!
Better and cheaper than OnePlus 6, for example.
