..., 22 Aug 2018True plastic has more endurance than glass on the back(not ... moreThis definitely a truth.
Phone change from poly carbonate (plastic) build to metal, then to shiny glass build.
Poly carbonate definitely are strong, best would be metal back, worst is the glass back, where the only usage will be showing off. Nope, can be for wireless charging, but can be done with poly carbonate back as well.
I still has these plastic smartphone, they definitely is strong enough.
      Hater gonna hate this phone.

I just got to say that, upon hearing the price for this phone and seeing the list of specifications, I was reminded of my good old OnePlus One. This is like a throwback to the days of real "Flagship Killers".

I was thinking of buying Honor play but I am glad that I waited for a while.

Shaun, 22 Aug 2018There will always be people that complain. Let them stick t... moreYes, definitely agree. There is always biased comments and complains on cheaper phone, especially the one that has the same spec as the more expensive phone they buy, which are mostly pointless.
But for me, I give credit to ASUS Zenfone 5Z, even it cost a bit more, it definitely provide more, such as NFC, OIS better camera, dual stereo DTS X loud speaker, included good earphone as well.
For me, ASUS Zenfone 5Z will be the more complete package, but definitely cost more.
If those feature aren't important, say technically this Poco F1 only lack NFC, which I seldom use, close to zero usage in my country, then this Poco F1 is the one to get, and forget the others. There are good 3rd party earphone sell at $5, which still way cheaper than ASUS Zenfone 5Z. So, it is just the choice between NFC and non NFC. Camera wise, there are expensive alternative smartphone out there that is much better, so no need compare.
I know, stubborn people always aim at these smartphone weakness.
I would say different phone for different priority at different price, just pick the best suited and will be fine.

Can someone please explain to me why this company would want to sell this great phone with LTE bands that are appropriate ONLY for the market in India ?
Why can't they enable North American LTE Bands? Does it cost them any more money?
            LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500)

              Does it have NFC?

Guigui, 22 Aug 2018No NFC, really! What a waste for a phone phone with pretty ... moreAs it spec reveal, it is for Asia market only, where it focus on the cost effective market just like what Xiaomi focus, such as China, India, south east Asia.
I am from those region as well, glad we can have cheap phone that perform close to real flagship.
Definitely a good phone to own if don't want to spend much. I have own a few Xiaomi phone, and definitely they are functional, good quality.

DragonBorn, 22 Aug 2018Seriously?I don't think soAt some region, the 64GB price between Mi8 and this Poco F1 are very close.
Of course, Poco F1 is still cheaper.
It is down to choice, where Mi8 have better camera, better display, NFC, AMOLED, but lack 3.5mm jack, no micro SD slot.
                  Both has pros and cons.
For casual buyer, Poco F1 is the better buy, as technically, it just lack of NFC.

Just take my money, this is the dream now true, now kickback to Mi3 and Oneplus One that has been doing, high end SoC at affordable price.
It is funny to see stubborn people still nitpick at this price, say it's camera quality is bad, no OIS, no NFC, no IP rating, no AMOLED, ugly notch design, plastic back, no wireless charging, hate it's notch design, purposely hate it's MIUI, complain no stock Android experience, complain no new Android version update.
Yes, hater please go with your glorified Oneplus 6, Samsung Galaxy S9+, Note 9, LG G7, HTC U12+, Sony XZ2 Premium, and those bunch of Huawei and Honor brand phone for your hard earn money.
For everything else, this phone is the real steal at this kind of price, SD834, with Micro SD slot, 3.5mm jack, 4000mah battery, liquid cooling, IR blaster, FM radio.
Do give this phone a proper credit before you all stubborn buyer trying to bash this phone, which is common among stubborn buyer when there is newer, more affordable flagship try to steal their expensive phone light that they can show off.
Xiaomi is a reputable brand, and I trust Xiaomi more than any other bad comment here.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2018MI8 is cheaper than Pocophone F1. Go for MI8. Better build ... moreSeriously?I don't think so

Xiaomi alrdy lower the price while cutting on build material and other feature to make it low price.
I would recommend you to look of other phone with similar spec and price range that support nfc before you make any judgemental comment or stating opinion.
