Used this smartphone side by side with ASUS Zenfone 5z for almost 2 years.
I would say, both are good smartphone that still works, and also get latest updates.
This smartphone despite it's popularity, still is a rare kind of smartphone in my country.
It belongs to the budget flagship Android smartphone.
Please don't compare which smartphone is better than this smartphone, there is no fair comparison.

Hello everybody,
I am using Poco F1 for almost 2 years, and the time has come for the change. Reason why I am changing it is annoying ghost touch, better know as latency issue. I even went for a screen replacement, but it was still appearing. Besides that, the phone works perfectly and with some of the GCam-s that you could download, I was really more then happy with everything it could offer.
What could be the suitable replacement for this one today? Without having to sell my car for S20 and similar overpriced phones... :)
Thanks,

I'm on MIUI Global 11.0.9

Shinik, 20 Jul 2020Hello, recently I've noticed that my phone losing netw... moreThis maybe is your sim card issue.
You may try go service center to change sim card, see if can solve issue or not.
Else, your sim card slot might have issue, which need to replace. Or, you place the sim card to another sim slot.

Hello, recently I've noticed that my phone losing network connection and mobile data 4-5 times on a daily base, I've tried turning airplane mode on and off, and after that network connection came back, but mobile data still not working. I have to turn it off phone, and only after that mobile data start working. When this happens i get notifications from Xiaomi SIM activation service (Getting activation info and Activating SIM card).
Does anyone know what's the problem, and how to solve it?
My POCO running on MIUI Global 11.0.8.

All in all, the gaming on smartphone is improving each year.
The earlier iPhone are also prone to overheating while gaming, and is not immune to the issue.
Only the upgrades for each year is improving to reduce the issue.
Then, iPhone only using one same flagship for each year launching for their various model. Where for Android, there are plenty of mid-range to low-range processor. There really has no fair comparison between the two platform.

The yellowing is due to the Glue not drying properly or just poor quality overall. If you are in India and near a service center then you should file a warranty claim.

AnoM, 06 Jul 2020Actually, the heating caused by gaming are more to the game... moreYou're right.
Athough my example was genuinely on the inferiority of Exynos, which by now is quite famous... A youtube video compared S10 SD vs S10 Exynos side by side in PUBG, to conlude that SD855 version was superior.
As of now, its highly unlikely that we're getting past this problem, seeing how we have 3 flagship chipsets from Huawei, Qualcomm & Samsung, not to mention countless mid to lower spec chipsets from them. Apple on the other hand has it much easier to manage apps quality for obvious reasons.
Freemium's biggest advantage is continuous, long-lasting income, which overall turns out quite big. That's also here to stay for now, I guess.
However, PUBG for now has kept framerate and quality options open to change, so we might as well see lesser heating if we just dial down the settings. I think that's a very mature approach, and others should copy it.

I bought one Poco F1 from a friend about 3 months ago. Eveything was OK, but yesterday I saw a screen issue on the top left corner, a yellow-orange wave about a 0.7mm wide, I`ve read on other forums that this is quite often issue, as a result of bad production process of the screen and Touch film glueing. I am in wonder what to do, cause the phone is up to 20.09.2020 in warranty. I use hidden notch option, so its not bothering me so much, but I am worried if there be more issues in the future like this... Otherway I am very pleased by the phone.

Samath N8 808 owner, 05 Jul 2020See framerates to high, not extreme. Set visual quality to ... moreActually, the heating caused by gaming are more to the game developer problem.
The game developer of Android platform is taking the PC gaming approach, where they squeeze as much processing power as possible on a hardware platform without considering the available horse power on a platform, causing the platform to overheat, and blame that your available platform is not powerful enough to run their game, which force gamer to frequently upgrade their smartphone, in term of more powerful SoC, bigger battery, and better cooling.
I think Apple iPhone on the other hand, is forcing the game developer to fine tune the game to suit their platform in order to be playable on their platform, taking the console gaming approach.
Game developer should take note that even on Android platform, the apps QC is more loosen than Apple iPhone platform, should not take for granted to just focus on newer high power processor only, but also need to pay attention on the optimization for older lower powered processor smartphone.
But to speak for the game developer side, which implement the freemium strategy to gain more gamer to play the game instead of pay the game for play, I got nothing to say, as it is the current trend now, that might indirectly killing quality game development. So much so that game developer only can focus to optimize their game on one platform 1st, which is owned by more poeple, then subsequently only selectively optimize for older platform, and lower powered platform.

Subas, 13 Jun 2020Exactly, heat management was always poor but now it is unbe... moreSee framerates to high, not extreme. Set visual quality to low. The cheapest iPhone you can get is worth double this phone.
Similarly, Samsung flagships based on Exynos are themselves suffering from heating and low fps problems... Unlikely that you can get a Snapdragon version everywhere.

sebastian2bay, 19 Jun 2020Note 8 Pro is for you if you don't really play games, but a... morePick Pocophone F1 of course. The faster chip is not just mean for gaming, but is faster for many other stuff as well. Then Poco F1 got UFS 2.1 internal storage, liquid cooling.
SD845 is a better and more popular chip, that will ensure much longer support than MTK Helio G90T.
