It can be purchased on gizmochina for 260 euros. There's customs of 23 percent to Ireland so 320 euros. Still a pretty good deal for a 5g phone with an amoled screen but not quite what it was made out to be.

    It's saying 200 euros. I am just going to get it out of the way here. There is a snowballs chance in hell of this phone costing 200 euros. It would literally decimate every mobile phone manufacturer.

      I think this phone will be one of the most successful phones this year. I wish they release a 4G version for MENA with the same other specs.

        Excellent phone, this would be the one for which I would exchange the Redmi Note 9S, and from what I see 5G has all the global bands, so it will be a very good purchase. It has everything I need and more. Xiaomi is on the right track.

                Anon, 31 May 2020How many months is soon?No need to wait for Redmi 10X. If you are on a tight budget, please look for phones based on the following 2020 SoCs: D800, D1000+, SD765G, Kirin820.
                Specifically:
                - Near $200 or below: D800 based phones;
                - Near $250 or below: SD765G and Kirin820 based phones;
                - Near $300 or below: D1000+ based phones.
                (SD720G and Kirin810 are also good options for 4G phones priced below $200. D820 will not be widely available until much later. SD768G's future is uncertain at this moment.)

                A much larger flood of 5G phones based these SoCs are forthcoming. We will be seeing 150+ 5G phone models by the end of the year.

                With the arrival of the new low-price targeted SoCs (SD695G, D600, etc) in coming months, we will see 5G phones priced near or below $150 in 3Q(4Q) of 2020. With luck, we will see $100 5G phones before the end of the year.

                Avoid phones based on other SoCs.

                    Redmi 10X series is unlikely to be made available outside Xiaomi's domestic market any time soon for the following reasons:

                    (1) The supply of D820 is very low, and unlikely to increase for the next 6 months. (Xiaomi has purchased all the D820s to be produced for the next 6 months, and the total number is not much more than a few million units.)

                    (2) There is no Honor X10 in a comparable 5G market to compete against.

                    Conclusion: Redmi 10X series will not be created if not for Honor X10 and a fertile domestic 5G market.

                      Last time I heard, ultra thin phones had piss poor battery life and were cumbersome in handling.
                      None of those 5k mAh battery phones exceed beyond 9.5mm in thickness.
                      And evenly distributed weight between 200-230g is heavier for you? Maybe you need to lift brah!

                        Redmi 10X series is specifically created to compete against Honor X10 series in Xiaomi's domestic 5G market. Redmi 10X (5G) is intended to be the 1st 5G phone for the 1st generation 5G users in an emerging 5G market. We see a high level of parallel between the two series, Redmi 10X and Honor X10, as follows:

                        1) "10X" is an odd name for Xiaomi, but Xiaomi names this series as "10X" with the sole purpose to compete against the successor of Honor 9X series. Honor has decided to change its original planned name of "Honor 10X" to "Honor X10" instead. Now we have, Redmi 10X vs Honor X10.

                        2) Xiaomi has worked with MediaTek for several months to create D800+, a variant of D800, targeting a performance level slightly above Antutu 400000. Xiaomi names this SoC as D820. (Yes, D820 is a name created by Xiaomi, not by MediaTek.) Why D820 and Antutu 400000? Because the SoC used for Honor X10 series is Kirin820 with a performance level close to Antutu 400000.

                        3) Why Xiaomi includes AMOLED with under-screen FPS, and many other seemingly out of the place goodies for such a low-priced series? Because Honor X10 comes with 40MP IMX600 (RYYB) camera for which Xiaomi has no answer. Xiaomi has to compensate for such a deficiency through some other means.

                        4) The pricing of Redmi 10X (near-cost or even under-cost) is determined by the pricing of Honor X10.

The 5G solution offered by Dimensity chips is superior to that offered by Qualcomm (SD765G, SD865's discrete 5G modem), according to engineers from Xiaomi and Oppo who have been working on those modems since late 2019. Complaints about Qualcomm's 5G solution are wide spread, from Sony, Apple, Meizu, etc.
