The 5G solution offered by Dimensity chips is superior to that offered by Qualcomm (SD765G, SD865's discrete 5G modem), according to engineers from Xiaomi and Oppo who have been working on those modems since late 2019. Complaints about Qualcomm's 5G solution are wide spread, from Sony, Apple, Meizu, etc.

Mediatek vs Qualcomm has become exactly like AMD vs Intel. (Around the time of the Ryzen 2000 launch, not really 3000 yet) And the fanboys have remained exactly the same. Just like with AMD, Mediatek absolutely crushes the competition's performance on the lower end chips, yet the Qualcomm fanboys will still refuse to admit it.
Just stop dude. Look at Intel fanboys and then realize how you sound trying to act like the Dimensity 820 isn't good enough.

jm, 27 May 2020if they use snapdragon instead of mediatek, 5g would work b... moremediatek dimensity 820 demolishes snapdragon mid range cpu lineup, almost beating last years flagship SOC, atm snapdragon doesnt have an answer to mediatek dimensity chips, the snapdragon 765 and 768 isnt on the same level and are there just to fill in the hype surrounding 5G. i have never been this excited for a mid range phone in a good while, mediatek won this round.
