Aziran, 29 Nov 2024I have been using this device since the 13th of October and... more I am using 4gb ram and it's very slow in processing commands, very annoying, my old tecno camon 12 is much better than it. i do miss calls due to it lagging responses. can't wait to change it.

I have been using this phone for about 3 months now. So far I'm satisfied with this phone.It is fast and battery life is descent. So far I didn't experience any lagging. Fingerprint sensor is lightning fast. Camera is decent too.

Phone look and feel in hand good. But performance is veeeeeeeery bad bad bad. why emmc in 2024. g81 is rebrand of g80.
i buy cheap poco in 2021, similar price, that had better processor and ufs storage brand new. Why xiaomi and many other Chinese brands now going backwards in 2024 & not forwards. chinese brands now recycling cheap old tech and release as new in budget mid segment. Before, Chinese brands innovate in budget mid segment with latest budget mid range tech at great price. Now is opposite. Price same, tech they using very old. Emmc is 10+ years old. G80 processor (rebrand) is using 12nm, which is 5+ years old.
Chinese brands no more good for quality in mid/budget section.

ITEL S24 is a better option then this phone and hot 50i and spark 30c due to better processor and 8gb ram. the phone does not lag. It's loud dual speakers makes it a perfect choice for better multimedia experience .it's speakers are really loud then other phones which I mentioned above having dual speakers setup

I have been using this device since the 13th of October and my experience while using this device is not suitable for using heavy applications, not suitable for gaming (even if I have extended the RAM to full capacity) and it heats up quickly when I open cellular data (usually). So that's all I have to share, thank you...

My relative has the 8gb ram version, & even that lags heavily. They have all the usual social media apps installed. Every single one of the apps lag. X (twitter) is probably the worst (lags the most). It's almost unusable. Twitter via browser is no better. Firefox, with a few of the adblocker extensions enabled, literally just freezes constantly & requires constant restarts.
What's the point of the g81 ultra chip when it's not even as powerful as the 5 year old snapdragon 662. I never remember the 662 being this laggy. Yes apps are more resource hogging these days compared to 5 years ago, but at least add a processor that can handle today's apps. The g81 and the g91 are literally just ewaste. Mediatek should be ashamed.
Xiaomi shouldn't advertise this phone as a multi media/entertainment phone when it can't even handle basic apps like twitter smoothly, or play 720p youtube videos without lagging. Sometimes the sound doesn't even play in sync to the video on youtube. This is SHAMEFUL in 2024
