The smartphone is fantastic! The negative point is the secundary camera. Bad quality :/

its a awesome phone loving this phone since 10 days it has a display which i love the most the gorrila glass 2 but some time when i use COC its battrey gets heated and drains faster just beacause of online game sooo its gets heated but i'll upgrade my MIUI after that the problem solved aferall its a awesome phone or else anyone says that its battery drains faster then i'll tell them that I was watching a movie 2:30 hrs and battrey drains only 10% awesome battrey backup Iam enjoying this phone..............................................

I bought redmi 2 phone Just 2 months ago at first it worked nice only after using it it battery slows down very fast and it hanging repeatedly and after several updates my phone died I report to MI India but no reply from them. What can I do now??????

Redmi 2 which i bought broke down in two months!now with the service centre for over three weeks! But what riles me is the MI India response. they dont respond to call, mail, chat..after three weeks they still have no idea when the mobile will get repaired! I bought the mobile with lots of expectations..but realise class cant be developed overnight. Its better to stick to established brands with good service set-up

First things first, Why peoples are posting negative reviews is a MYSTERY !!!
Well I AVOIDED the Indian make (or version) strictly. Bought 1GB Chinese version. Its outstanding performance made it a real smartphone imo.
Now I'm going to give my reviews about this awesome device.
BATTERY: With full charge I played NFS NL for almost FOUR & HALF an HOUR !!! Battery left at 27% and with no internet usage, about 30-40 mins talk time and few this & that it lasted 15 (fifteen!) more hours !!!!! My jaw dropped and it still hurts!
Processor & RAM: Sometimes it feels like device is controlling its processing power to save energy. Mine is unrooted and plans to root it. But its a good enough powerhouse. Whenever I clean apps to free ram it gives me back 250-400mb free ram. Moreover 150-200mb is always free.
Camera: Checked with Nexus 5, Zenfone 2 & 5. Well this tiny 8MP won! Front cam is average.
HEATING: When gaming for like 2 hours non-stop, it heats up but it won't burn down anything. Its NORMAL heating as its supposed to be when gaming a long time. NO OVERHEATING as others are complaining.
Display: Excellent display with really really good dpi. Color is really good with very good back-light. In bright sun light (outside) sometimes its hard to see but also i'm using a tempered glass (screen protector).
GPU: Its Adreno 306. Good. Not great. Not bad. Played Real Racing 3 with MINIMUM lag (almost no lag) :satisfied: Playing Need For Speed No Limits with some lag. You'll be annoyed if you have no patience :rolleyes:
MIUI 7 Beta: Most probably its the best feature in this handset. I updated mine to MIUI 7 Beta and 100% satisfied. Too much good features in this custom rom. Its light fast. Loaded with some extremely useful features. ***The builtin music player is one of The BEST. Really good sound is a good earphone.You need use it to realize it ;)
Some Extra Awesomeness: Wireless Display (played NFS NL is 42 inch Bravia). Builtin cleaner, scanner, battery saver, multicolored notification light, absolutely cool three red colored buttons at the bottom etc etc.
BAD Things: Not much. But 8GB internal space and only 5GB like is usable. You CAN NOT install or move apps in SD card !!! Not good. But rooting can solve this easily. Overall design (outlook) is just okay. Could be much much better.
Its a really cheap budget handset loaded with TONS & TONS of costly features. Definitely my money well spent.

Alert ! Before purchase of Redmi 2, They only provide you service of assurance not the product.
I had purchased redmi 2 two month back. Suddenly I seen my phone become heated and also dead. I go to service center for service. I also contact mi customer service several times.They only give me the assurance ,not provide any service still today. It has already 1 month gone.
